Yeah, Uri Avnery is cool. Only he would remind the Israelis that they had once renamed Sharm El-Sheik because they intended to hold onto it--and blew up the mosque when they had to abandon it the first time, in 1957.

Some Russian Parliamentarians have introduced an anti-Semitic bill, I understand.

In fact we do implement election money reforms in the U.S., but the money just runs around the roadblocks into new channels.

Glad you mentioned the anti-semitic bill, Montag. It is horrifying by the sounds of things. A very significant number of Russian MP's and intellectuals have signed it and it more or less accuses the Jews of being behind all Russia's problems. What amazes me is how little coverage has been given to what is an exaample of genuine anti-semitism, at least in the UK. Then compare that to the Ken Livingstone nonsense or a university hosting a conference on Israeli aparthied - the JC and BoD up in arms! Could it be because the issue of anti-semitism is primarily important to these people in as far as it motivates Jews in the west to support Israel? Am I being overly cynical?
