The Palestinians who have been killed since Abu Mazen shook hands with Sharon have all been unarmed.

Ultimately I want to see a democratic secular state throughout the whole of Israel and the occupied territories.

Lawrence of Cyberia had a good one on these lines, referring the Natan Sharansky's passion for "democracy" while seizing the land of "present absentee" Palestinians, she quipped in a footnote:

"So, democracy apparently means not only having the right to voice your opinion in the town square, but also having the right to occupy your neighbor's town square, forcibly exclude your neighbor from it, then steal it and hand it over to developers."
