Next month I have an academic article coming out that compares Soviet and Israeli ethnic cleansing in the 1940s. It will be published in Human Rights Review put out by the philosophy department of Loyola University in New Orleans. I have posted an abstract of the article on my blog.

Who are "they"? The point is that Israel is becomingly increasingly unpopular in the world and more becoming a moral pariah - not just in the Middle East and particularly among well educated liberals. This was not true in Israel's early days. The partial exception to this is probably the US. I think its hilarious that in one poll 10% of Americans thought that the American government was too supportive of the Palestinians!!
Short of genocide of the Palestinians, its difficult to imagine how the American government could be less supportive.

The problem is that our support for Israel is ruining all of the goodwill we've built up among the Arabs thanks to our construction of the "Iraqi Paradise." The streets are paved with gold there, you know--or anyway, you'd think they were.

the article designating the "they" was deleted. It explained why people don't like Israelis. Hence my response. Yes Mooser I do live in the USA. Do I have to condemn Israelis each time they pass gas to satisfy someone I am not dually loyal? (That is not required yet in this country). Patrick, your comment is illogical. Are you arguing that since the United States screwed up Iraq in your opinion, that we have to make it up by dumping on Israel? What does one have to do with the other? And if the answer is nothing, then why should we let the Arabs blame Israel for it? It was not Israel's war.
