It doesn’t say what conclusions they reached on this last topic, but I think we can guess.

Presumably no one spoilt the fun by asking if it was appropriate for novelists to participate in the celebrations of the anniversary of a state which murders novelists. I refer to the assassination of Ghassan Kanafani.
