I had a boss who kept poking me with his finger one day. I kept backing up until he stopped. After I calmed down, I walked into his office, leaned over his desk, pointed my finger in his face and told him if he every did that again I'd break it off. He slid his chair back against the wall and profusely apologized. His reprimands for everyone changed considerably after that.
