I wouldn't know if his condition deteriorated rapidly since Xmas, but it would seem that would be the case. He couldn't have dropped significant weight in the nursing home all this time. We older siblings always feel the need to protect the younger ones, but sometimes (oftentimes) this sentiment is misguided.

I'm hoping you find more comfort in knowing the actual situation, rather than imagining even more horrific things. I'd say that you and yours have done a fine job of supporting him so far, but it seems that hisactual condition might depend more on him than anyone else.

BTW, I never liked barbequed Armadillo. Too stringy.

Sorry to hear the condition that you're dad is in.

Its hard when you remember a person one way and then to see them decline-it's always hard.

I hope things turn around for both your parents...that's alot to deal with.
