thoughts...usually with attitude...

Actually Libby, the whole concept of someone having power over another has always been one of my problems in relationships. One of my earliest girls was on a serious power trip. Control Freak to the max. After her I have an understanding with women, I tell them openly and honestly how I feel, I treat them with respect, and if they fuck with me I leave.
In the end I say if you trust someone, then they can do, go, see, anyone or anything they like because you trust them to be true to you. If you don't think you can trust them, they why are you with them in the first place. If they break that trust, no second chances. Once someone gets away with something they will try to do so again. It's human nature.
No one should have power over another. Because like they say, power corrupts.

Gravatar ang--that's exactly what i say! when i started dating kev and we worked together, someone saw him leave work & asked me where he was going...i said i didnt know, she said how can you let him go without seeing where he's going? i said he can do anything he wants, cuz i know he doesnt want to hurt me! and it's worked for 16 1/2 yrs...

Gravatar Little girls can be hateful I think. I forgot what it was like but now I see it in my daughter. Right now she's on top of the world cause she is loved by her friends at the moment...but I tell her to becareful because they will turn on ya at any moment. It's sad that girls learn that early on.

I'd pay to see some guy take his clothes off. Wait! No I wouldn't. I work hard for that money and I'm not going to shove it down some guys undies when I can ask Honey to do it for free.

But if it were free-I'd go watch men get butt naked. LOL!

Gravatar Actually, there are places aroudn NYC where women pay big money to see men dance nearl naked (Chippendale's). And thre are other venues where men dance completely nude for women. I used to know a guy who danced in one of the all-nude places. If he's typical of male strippers, then I would guess that they get far more tips from their female customers than feamle strippers get from theirs.

As to power in a relationship, that's kinda mixed from my own experience. I've seen plenty of women making complete and public fools of themselves for guys and vice versa.

I agree with Angry Nice Guy in that power inequities would doom any relationship. In relationships that thrive, you tend to see more of a sharing of authority, even if partners differ on how they wield and use that authority.

BTW, I only knew the one male stripper. I have, on the other hand, known tons of female strippers. Your implication is quite correct--many really do see men spending money, and smiling at them (very important) for viewing them nude is quite empowering.

Gravatar Dunno.
At least, and trust me on this because I'm evidently the minority, but, seeing a nude dancer for me is like reading (?) a porn magazine. It's not dis-similar to having a starving man read a cookbook.

Or at least looking at the pictures.
As for the dancers, well, yeah. My guess is that there are sveral factors at play...
The most important as to the payscale would have to be something like how drunk the guys were and how close to payday they are. On payday, I'm guessing, money rolls in by the bundle. Tuesday after payday, and after Mama has cut the guys head off by the roots, I'm guessing the dance would have to be seriously exotic to get up any bucks.

But, not having done any nude dancing for bucks, and truth be told, I don't even think I could actually get nude for an art class either, I'll never have the comparison to actually see which gets more for doing what.

Maybe m'next life I'll try t'be a dancer.

Gravatar kimmy--little girls can be terrible!! it was bad enough when they could hear each other talk shitty about each other, but now they have 3-way calling, the internet where they can post embarrassing pix of each other, etc!

x-sometimes, unfortunately, having the 'power' goes to one's head, doesn't it?

berry-you just proved my point. the percentage of guys that would take off their clothes in front of anybody, much less dance naked in front of a roomful of people, has got to be SO FEW!!

Gravatar Unfortunately, in these cases, when power goes to one's head, it's the power addict who is in the most danger.

Gravatar When do boys have power?

When have women NOT ruled the world?

Oh, i get it! This is part of the female conspiracy... you're creating the illusion that at some point in his life a male had power...

HA ha ha.... I laugh... Ha... see? I did it again.
