I have wondered about that very same question. I guess we're both just too damn nice. You sneaky girl going out to see your boyfriend after curfew. I would never do anything like that

There is a difference between being meek or nice and letting dome one shit on you. My own take on bring nice ( and it seems that is my rep) is that you give what you are able, set boundaries and limits and leave it at that. When a "girlfriend" left for her own stupid reasons with me in the hospital, I really did not look back. After. I attempted to make sure I could say hello if I met in the street (which finally happened, but nothing else), but she was too full of herself to understand that. I did set limits and boundaries and that was that. She is not my friend, only some one I used to know. My kindness is that I will not do the same thing to her and be courteous.
wm--yeah, there's a big difference between being a friend and an acquaintance...my friends don't hurt me like that! and i really hope i have enough kindness to never do this to another!

(1) That sky is really blue.
(2) I think reality shows (and I'm assuming 16 & Pregnant is such fare) edit people so that they're meaner, stupider, or pettier than they actually are. Maybe it's because they believe that if they don't, the public won't see the drama in the procedings because they truly believe the audience is somewhat stupid to begin with.
(3) As for your friend who has the dirt on everybody: this kinda reminds me of J. Edgar Hoover. He kept the dirt on everyone by dint of secret dossiers on their personal lives, and he apparently didn't mind using it to his advantage. And all the politicians fell over themselves to be his friend. As LBJ said of Hoover, "I'd rather have him inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in."

I come from a railroad family. My grandfather and my uncle were both engineers, and I would have liked to be.

Man, you were so lucky! I didn't have a train to blame for being late. I've got a brother like that, does whatever he wants, and it's supposed to be OK. Well I can stands all I can stands, and I can't stands no more! The world plays by my rules, or I just stay home!

Hey Lib! Back from GA. My sister loves My Cousin Vinney! I thought it was ok but not as funny as she thinks. I don't think I really have anything on anybody because I usually let stuff like that go in one ear and out the other. And I have to agree...meek is not a word I would use to decribe you. Kind? YES, but definitely not meek
