Ya, 2006 has been kind of rough for me too. Not sure what it is about this year...
(1) I'd already seen the vid on UselessJunk. Poor thing. To have an accident like that is bad enough. To have it in front of a camera is even worse. To have it posted all over the Internet....well, I'm sure this woman will now have to overcome agoraphobia.
(2) This has been a particularly crappy year for you, with everything that you've gone through. I'm hoping that an OSU win over Michigan might salvage a little of the year for you
(3) Your friend reminds me of a Steve Allan song about a woman who went to church on Sunday, but raised hell six days a week. Obviously, wearing your piety on your sleeve like a pharisee doesn't make you a moral person in and of itself.
Well, I can't say this has been a particularly good year for me, but there have been others that were just as bad...well...maybe. Anyway, I try not to focus on that. Just means that next year will be better. Right?
No matter the faith or the religion you will always find those that don't exactly live what they preach. Who are we to judge? Just try to see the good things in them. Have a great weekend Libby!

Hi Lib.....this has been a year of challenge here for me also. It seems like we just get over one "crisis" and another takes it place. I am to old to be worrying about teachers and kids stealing pencils when i have to worry about all the medical stuff also. People need to really give some deep thought to having children past 40 unless you are lucky enough to have nannies. haha
But health issues are at the very top of the list of "crap" I have had to deal with this year. Not something that you don't know a lot about, also.
When it comes to friends, I have few that I would call TRUE friends, oh yeh the world is full of people to call on the phone during good times. But most of us have only one or two who will listen and really care when the chips are down. People like people who always have a smile on their face. I say, if you always have a smile on your face, you must be taking Botox....haha
