thoughts...usually with attitude...

Gravatar You always crack me up! Yeah, "goiter" is one of those words. Now all you need is "lumbago" and you'll have all the wacky ones out of the way. I can't wait to see what the pups are like. I love mutts most of all! Hope you had lots of little ones around on Halloween. My neighborhood is getting older. We had mostly 12-14 year olds and only about 2-3 dozen. Bummer! Of course, the little ones were terrified to approach with the window filled with scary dolls and the cemetery and creepy music. I could hear them arguing about who would ring the bell. Hee hee. A little Halloween scare is good for them, builds character.

Gravatar autumnforest-yeah, goiter IS right up there, along with rhinoplasty (which i also had when i was 20!)...
i'll put pix of the pups up asap..tif cld me right after samson 'got' lily, yelling "mom, samson raped lily!!' ...& you think i'm funny?
and it is fun to scare kids...just cuz they LOVE it so much! when we did a haunted porch here, tif had to go around back to come in & pee, cuz there were 5 or 6 adults on the front porch scaring everyone!

Gravatar What a coincidence! I just had my thyroid ultrasound Monday. Yea, I've got one of those goiter thingy's too. The doctor took a needle and stuck it straight into my neck to get a biopsy. That was just too weird! It's benign but I guess it needs to be watched. And I'm on thyroid medication. Seems I have hypothyroidism. Oh well, no biggie.

Can't wait to see a pic of the puppies when they get a little bigger. I bet they'll be cute!

Gravatar SCM did his usual cemetary on the font lawn with a big scary dude overlooking it. Of course I had to play the screams and booooo sounds out the window too. I left a bowl of candy for the kids to take what they wanted since I was out with Anna. Come to think of it, this may have been why the bowl was nearly full. Kids were too afraid to come up the walk!

PUPPIES!!! Awwww I hope TIf can find them all good homes.

Gravatar peach-a needle in my neck??? eeeeewwwww!!! i think mine would be hyperthyroidism, cuz i can't GAIN weight, i'm always cold, etc...can you tell i googled it immediately?

christine-i had my 40 lbs of candy & toys in a big box on the front steps, & the 2 kids across the street helped me tell kids to get some candy & a toy!!
yeah, PUPPIES!! doesn't anna need another one? lol! you & anna could come up here & get it...there's 2 girls & 3 boys...2 of the boys are named Bert & Ernie...

Gravatar Who has a problem with Halloween? I saw the celebrations and agree with you.

Better a goiter on the throat than a garrote.

Gravatar sj--well, i heard about how bad halloween is from my bro's brother, psycho, the next day...i just nod & smile, to keep peace...
and, a garrote? hmmm...when you come to ohio, i won't sleep while you're here!!

Gravatar Puppies and kids, I am in awwww mode!!! Thanks Libby! Halloween is for the kids and certain grownups need to give it a rest. My prayers for your healing and for that goiter to disappear and never bother you anymore.

Gravatar shiny-thanks for the "awwww"...lol!!
& thanks for the prayers...i didnt even KNOW about this before i had my c-spine mri'd to check for ms...so, thank God they did that! early detection, y'know?

Gravatar (1) Halloween isn't my favorite day of the year, but the only people I've known who call it evil were 7th Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses. Are there any other groups who take a dim view of the date?

Of course, one of my ex's was born on Halloween, so I consider October 31 evil for an entirely different reason.

(2) Sorry to hear about the goiter, but am glad it wasn't something worse. With all the iodinazation of salt, I wasn't aware people still came down with it. You wouldn't happen to be on a low-sodium diet because of your condition, would you?

Gravatar x-no way am i on any kind of restricted diet! actually, i've been told i'm kinda young for this, usually people are over 50 if they get them! & tom (my date from last year) referred to it as a CARBUNCLE!...you know...a pus-y growth?? OMG!!

Gravatar x-yeah, i actually think halloween's my favorite holiday...it's much cheaper than Christmas, you know?
2.no, i'm not on any restricted diet...& the website i looked at said it's usually seen in people over 50...which i'm not yet!my friend tom called it a "carbuncle" tonight!!

Gravatar Actually those goiters on rare occasions can get really massive and gross but that usually happens in 3rd world countries. I suppose it can happen here as well but they get that big from long term lack of care. Glad they caught it early.

I don't get why some people freak out over Halloween. they need to get a life.

Gravatar ric, you're so right, about needing to get a life! aren't there more important things to worry about??
and, yeah, i'm really glad i had my c-spine checked this time with an mri...usually they only do my brain for ms lesions, but this time my dr decided to do my spine too!

Gravatar Awww, cute puppy and dressed up kids pictures.

And goiter is a ridiculous word. I remember and episode of Home Improvement where the kid had a goiter and I was like twelve when it was on so I though it was a brillaint word. Goiter. Goiterologist. Goiterific. Good luck with the goiter!

Gravatar You are going to be the best Grandma ever!

Gravatar meg-goiter just sounds gross! but, my good & great friend tom called it a carbuncle, which is even worse! that's a pus-filled sac! eeeewwwww! and it's in my throat!

cora--man, i hope i will...but i know you'll be better when that time comes for you...years from now, right? lol!
