Hi Libby, our weather is the same, cold last week to the point of "can't get warm", and today I have all the windows and doors open. It is almost 70 outside.

Isn't it funny, how are taste in music always goes back to high school. anyway mine does....no matter how many new records they make, I still love the "oldies" best..

nea-right! i've tried really hard when tif was a teenager, to like her music, but i'm stuck on the "oldies", 80's music...i think it's probably when we felt the best about ourselves, is the music we like!

Ah, the bad old days. Makes you kinda wonder how most of us survived them.

I've never heard the term 'strawberry spring,' but I would fear a sudden freeze in weather like that.

x-yeah, it's a false spring, like indian summer...(i pick these neat little things up from stephen king books!) but you won't hafta shovel for a while!
and, yes, i always wonder why i'm still here, cuz God knows, if things were the way you think they ought to be, i shoulda been gone 25 years ago!!

It's very warm here. In the low 60's I think. Here they call it "January thaw," although we haven't had much freezing so far. Weird.

In the past the river would have frozen over and the January thaw meant it got warm enough for the river ice to break up and start traveling downstream. The river hasn't frozen over in a long, long time now.
