thoughts...usually with attitude...

Gravatar How dare you! I like Calvin and Hobbes more than anything near or far sided.

Gravatar Yes Angela's Ashes does seem a bit whiny in a "boo hoo my priest won't let me touch my self" way.

Gravatar sj--yeah, it's like, why do i wanna read about this woman's troubles? i have enough of my own, for God's sake!!

Gravatar ..and isnt that interesting, how you saw it from the boy's point of view, & i saw it from his mom's!

Gravatar OOoO I love calvin and hobbes. and I really really LOVEEEEEEEe the far side!!!!!

Garfield is a crack up too.

We have lots of local ghost stories here too, more so in southern arizona, but alot here.

Gravatar if you enter a comment, you probably wont get anything when you click on' enter, but it still goes!

Gravatar Hi LIbby, Around here you can hear a train every night of the week, there are so many here, so no matter we are out in the woods, there are trains.....but it is a lonesome eerie sound late at night, it always makes me sad for some reason. Trains remind me of hobo's and the homeless.

Well you like scary more than i do. haha, Man I would have painted those walls, like fast. haha

I don't watch or read anything that doesn't have either happy ending or makes me laugh. I am depressed often enough, and man I can not sleep if I go to bed on an unhappy ending. They like give me stress.....

I don't read anything anymore except flower and cooking books, but I joined Netflicks, and you can watch movies, over the computer if you have a TV card. I just watched a really cute and nice one called Bella. I think I will watch it again. It had no one anyone would know in it, but it had great acting, and it was really sweet. Young girl gets pregnant, she works in a restaurant, the restaurant owner befriends her and it is a day out of their life. I enjoyed it a lot.

Gravatar thst sounds like a good movie, i'll hafta look for it!!

Gravatar I love the Far Side, but nothing beats Peanuts, nothing!

Gravatar Lib,
Do you know exactly where that bridge? Cause I'd love to go there sometime!!! Abbie and I found a covered bridge not too far from you in Upper...was that the bridge? I have pictures of that bridge somewhere...I'll have to look and if it is, I'll send you the pics I have.

I do not like being scared and if I ever saw a hand on fire with the number 13 on the palm of it, hell no. I'd pack my shit and keep movin'!!!

I am a big cry baby!!! LOL!

Gravatar kimmy--i don't know where that bridge is, but it's not around upper, it's way more notheast than that, like, over akron/canton/youngstown way...when i talk to t again, i'll ask him!
and, actually, that was the first place i ever lived by myself with tif, and i had signed the lease already, it was in a great neighborhood (an old spooky one, ya know!), right across the street from the big scary looking church i've posted pix of!

Gravatar The local cops told me of a supposed nearby haunting. I've been to the place many times, but haven't seen anything. They swear it' there, though.

If you could hear a baby crying, I'd check and see what was on T's stereo system.

Gravatar tony--yeah, peanuts is great, but, i guess i have the same stupid-ass sense of hunor as gary larson...

x--nope, the radio was off...like i said, it might've just been in my head, but the train sounds weren't! and we were outside the car when we heard them!

Gravatar when we went to amish country there was a bridge I took pics up it's suspended it was pretty cool though, but you sorta had to drive up a hill to see it because it was so high up in the air.

it had a sign on it called the bridge of dreams. it was pretty cool.

here's a picture of it.

Gravatar oh yeah sorry libby, that bridge is over canton way.

Gravatar I don't do sad, so that book went into the giveaway pile. I hope you have a nice Sunday!

Gravatar I loved Angela's Ashes. If it were a fiction I wouldn't have finished it. But it is a true story and that guy survived it. So I love that.

I also love the Far Side cartoons! Sick and twisted. It doesn't get any better than that.

Gravatar I literally burst out laughing at Betsy ringing and running.

I remember these...they were all great. I think I had a calendar way back when.

Gravatar summer--honestly, i don't do sad or depressing books, either. but Mom liked this so much, i figure that SOMEWHERE i'll find its redeeming value!

tlp--i know, it must be a really good book, but i like fiction, like mystery, horror, that stuff...i usually don't like much non-fiction...but sometimes some of those peanuts cartoons are pretty non-fiction, arent they??

christine--that's what i do every time i read one of those big anthologies!! laugh til my stomach hurts!

Gravatar O Libby I would have messed my pants, spookie or what. I really enjoyed the film Angela's Ashes, depressing yes but I still appreciated it. I must have missed the post about the picture with the burning hand & 13 on it, not sure i could have lived with it....

Gravatar Hope you're well, Libby!

Gravatar queenie--yeah, it really was creepy! what made it extra-creepy was that there was a deadbolt lock on the door...like former renters didnt want anyone to come down from up there??

donald--thanks for checking!! yeah, i'm doing well, my life is just really full all of a sudden...which is a wonderful change!
