thoughts...usually with attitude...

Gravatar You mean like a cardamom?

I too started reading early, loved board games, was only OK in math ... are we long lost siblings!!!

Gravatar sj--hmmmm...could be...but i dont think you look like my bro in the top pic...but, maybe we're astral twins or something?

Gravatar I loved board games, my mom didn't play alot with us. We try to now with the kid.

When I grew up it was Life, Kismet and Yahtzee.

We have electronic life, and pirates of the Caribbean life, and one called fact or crap, and a couple others, fun stuff.

when I grew up we played spades, gin and cribbage for cards. Now we play uno lol

Gravatar I loved Monoploy and still do. Growing up my siblings were cheaters and not so much fun to play with. Plus my mom is from England so we had an English version ( streetslike Picadilly) as well as an American version. I wonder if someone has that old game board?

Gravatar I love hearing your memories. I wasn't big into board games but I absolutely hated math. The built-ins are so neat and you're right they don't make stuff like that anymore.

Gravatar burfica--yeah, i know they're making all these electronic games and all, but i'm still an old fogey or something, & i just like the regular games...i loved uno & skip-bo too!

cathy--how cool! i didn't know your mom was from england! was she from london, or a smaller town? i've been to london & manchester when i was a kid!

jj--yeah, there were even closets behind closets, probably for the underground railroad, lots of houses in that part of town were used for that..this house was built in 1898

Gravatar I had the same kind of a room upstairs in the attic. We make it our play room. Painted it and everything. Almost forgot about that room. I love board games also. I'll bring Scrabble with me next time! Math and Science were my favorite. I hated English and reading. I didn't develop a love of reading until much later in life. And I've always been artistic. Guess that's why we're friends...opposites attract
I guess you would have to call my mom - octomom. Can you figure out how many kids? LOL

Gravatar Monopoly's always great, and some good card games too...

Gravatar Moly-poly was my favorite too. And I always insisted on being the banker.
