I've lived in Texas long enough to know that politics is a blood sport here like no other place in the country. You people outside the state have no idea. Google Molly Ivins sometime and read her stories. If not for the truth then for the entertainment value.
Delay personally oversaw the redistricted Texas' federal congressional lines for the benefit of the republican count in the house and senate. Flat out truth. To do this he funnelled money (corporate money through "trimpac" - a pretty lean pac name for a fat guy from Midland - I smell Rovian input) into state elections which propped up the republican count to a majority in the state house. This allowed him to get legeslation passed to allow the redistricting before the normal time it has always been done. After the census is published every ten years.
So...there is plenty of dirt to throw around over this and I commend anyone willing to stand up to Delay and his cronies. Trimpac was his baby...is his baby...the baby's dad needs a good legal whippin'. I can't wait for the trial.

During the day I might fire off a post or two(roll a grenade into the grotto), post a coin sale or so on Ebay, fill the bird feeders, rake the lawn, check on the grandkids, make a bank- post office- grocery store run, fix supper when it's my night, then check on the Braves and crawl into the sack around 8 p.m, gearing up for the cycle all over again 6 days a week.

Earle is a standup honest man. The city of Austin and Travis County are home to a number of truth telling law abiding folks and he is one of them. Fortunately for all of us he is in a position as county prosecuter to go after those who feel they are above the law. Delay has been shifting cash from cookie jar to cookie jar for decades. Not touching the cash physically but directing his band of merry r.w. men and women to put the money where the boss wants it. So what makes this unlawful mob type act any more for distinctive than the numerous other bad behaviors by politicians in the lone star state? Nothing. Dave, my reaction will be my own and no one else’s. I have no problem with revenge or preventive deaths. I have no problem in sending the willing to die against an enemy that can be perceived and fought.
But I do have a problem with people that want to use the pain of others to control and manipulate them into acts that are contrary to their desires and dreams. I have a problem with people that mindlessly follow the majority just to say they have some control over their worthless lives or because it is less painful.
Dave what you fail to see is that you are already on your way down a path of self destruction. You will follow blindly the words of any leader that happens to say the right things to you. You do not look beneath the surface to see the hunger for power that is in many of the politician's eyes.
They want that power regardless of the cost or pain they inflict on others to get it. Each time power is abused it is easier to abuse that power even if it is for the right reasons. After a while all reasons seem right to the ones in charge.

I said Natural disasters dave not ones caused by us. The planet deserves to get its shot in way before I do.

It's ok to join society. You dont have to live in a constant state of depression. The world is here for you, you are not here for the world.
When society becomes worth joining I will consider it.
Until then I will continue to point out that we have done a lot of harm to each other in the name of "Society" or the group herd mentality.
It is a cycle that repeats itself over and over again. Find something to rally around then crush all those that are not with you.
