Now we know what the Vice President knew and when he knew it. So, what now?

Now...Libby (alleged felon on 5 counts) needs to come clean and explain why the one of the most brilliant minds in washington crashed and burned because of a middle school lie. In this case it wasn't about a girlfriend or rat shit in the cafeteria tater tots. It was all about United Srares intelligence security in the world and how he (or someone he is now protecting... cheney) fucked it up.

Come clean Scooter!! Knock some time off your sentence.

Now Scooter has to decide his next move. He can either take the fifth, plead not guilty, and take his chances, or he can reveal that Cheney ordered him to out Plame and try to plead out to maybe one count of perjury.

If he takes five, he can probably count on a pardon, but that of course carries its own problems for all concerned.

AM

Or since neither Cheney, Scooter, Rove or anyone else in the administration could "out" a CIA agent that wasn't even "in" according to the law, maybe somebody just wanted to make sure the press knew that it was his wife, not Cheney, who worked to get Frogwalk dispatched to Niger.

And on the heels of a disclosure by a reporter, not an administration official, at that.

Shiny things for the bats to amuse themselves with while the sane and rational world gets back to the serious business...

Sorry,BRT, you be wrong. This from the Indictment:
"On or about June 12, 2003, LIBBY was advised by the Vice President of the United States that Wilson’s wife worked at the Central Intelligence Agency in the Counterproliferation Division .
From Billmon: The CD is part of the Directorate of Operations (the spook side of the agency) so by telling Libby that, Big Time effectively fingered Plame as covert.....

Wilson is Frogwalk?????? You been snuffing too many glue cans.

nor...

Then, doc, "bigtime" was totally, and uncharacteristically, unaware of the LAW, and the requirements for protection as a "covert" agent under which Plame clearly did not qualify. A 30 second riff through the qualifications would have told him, Scooter, or anyone else that much.

Or perhap, as is almost certainly the case, he WAS aware.

Which just reinforces my central point.

Good to see you back in the fray...

Uncharacteristically??? When revenge is in the air, the law frequently gets ignored. They did it in the heat of passion. A perverse passion, to be sure. And, as Oscar Wilde said, "revenge is a dish best taken cold." The made a boo boo, as a little friend of mine says.

About time for someone in the WH to say: "mistakes were made," throw themselves on the mercy of the public, and take their just deserts. Not likely, but it might save W's presidency. Ah, the ghost of RMN is stalking the streets this Halloween.

You getting good oysters up there now doc? All I can find here in South Carolina are the damned "Willapointes"-the blanched, siped, swiped and run over by a sickie poo mandated biological tractor shipped in from the northwest.

Scooter (former Bush administration presidential security advisor and VP chief of staff and now alleged felon for a crime he could never have committed unless he was protecting someone...cheney...) revealed classified information to three reporters not entitled to having that information. She was undercover, was a covert operator for CIA. All this is in the indictment, Barney. You can look it up.

Now quit being a lock step righty whitey!! These talking points hold zero water.

The investigation is not over. If Libby become Lippy and spills the beans Cheney will go down. How can Libby have been such a dumb ass without covering for someone else...cheney...?

The conservative meme that his wife sent him to Niger is so ridiculous it hardly merits being addressed, however since BRT is clinging to it proudly, we should say something.

You're saying that Wilson's wife arranged for him to take an UNPAID vacation junket trip to NIGER as some sort of nepotistic kickdown, BRT?

Does that really sound like a treat?

That peaceful land of serenity and calm, Niger.

Or is it Barney, that they (she) sent him there because they (she) knew for sure he could go after those rascals (Bush alleged felons) when they (she) found out from him there was absolutely nothing going on with the alleged "nukular" (thanks Shrub) motivations of Sadam visa vi Niger?

What exactly DO you mean this time?

(Sung to the tune of "The Flintstones")

Barney, let's meet Barney, just a wingy out of history,

From the town of Bedrock it's a place with lots of felonies.

Scooter, with his hands all shackled up,

Karl, he's the next one to go up.

When you hang with Barney,

Have a yabba dabba do time...

Some up the river time,

They'll have a gay old time!!!!

Yabba Dabba Screeeewed!!!

Harrieeeeeeeeet!

Have fun bat asses. I'll put a pot of dark roast coffee on for the predictable aftermath-when the meth wears off, the bat puke is finally Lysoled out of the toilets and the real world crashes in again...

Sorry about the oysters, BRT. Don't know if they're running here or not. October does have an R in it. Will check it out.

"Or since neither Cheney, Scooter, Rove or anyone else in the administration could "out" a CIA agent that wasn't even "in" according to the law,"

Valerie Plame-Wilson was a NOC agent. This is simply the truth, and your denials will not dent it.

I heard there's a lot of Frenchmen in Niger.

Actually, I think it's highly likely that Valerie Wilson wanted to get Joe the job because it would advance his personal interests. But so what? What relevance does this have to the case at hand?

None.

Listen, all the right wingers that are still around, hear this and try to digest it. If I go on television and tell Tim Russert that Dick Cheney raped my grandmother (he didn't), and then he outs my wife as a CIA operative to a journalist, then lies about it to a grand jury, that's a crime. Actually several.

It doesn't matter that I lied.

It. Doesn't. Matter.

Did Joe Wilson say some shit (on TV, not under oath) that wasn't true? Yes. Does that have any conceivable relevance to the matter at hand?

No.

AM

P.S. To all the wingers who are still quite convinced that this isn't going to be a big deal, I implore you - don't read the indictment itself. It'll ruin your weekend.

"Did Joe Wilson say some shit (on TV, not under oath) that wasn't true? Yes."

I'm not convinced of that, either. Could you point me to an objective source, Ape Man? Thanks.

"We have not made any allegation that Libby knowingly/intentionally outed a covert agent."

"We have not made any allegation that Libby knowingly/intentionally outed a covert agent."

Because his lying under oath and obstruction of justice have thus far made it impossible to determine...

"Karl Rove, Bush's closest adviser, escaped indictment Friday but remained under investigation, his legal status casting a dark cloud over a White House already in trouble. The U.S. military death toll in Iraq exceeded 2,000 this week, and the president's approval ratings are at the lowest point since he took office in 2001."

It's a good day to be a moonbat, huh BRT?

It's never really a good day to be a moonbat Pwaaang.

But I guess Halloween is as good as any....

"Did Joe Wilson say some shit (on TV, not under oath) that wasn't true? Yes."

I'm not convinced of that, either. Could you point me to an objective source, Ape Man? Thanks."

Try the Senate Intelligence Committe report, bud.

From Winkopedia...

The Senate Intelligence Committee Report

A Senate Intelligence Committee report issued on July 7, 2004 challenged some of the statements made by Wilson.

The report suggests that Wilson's wife was involved in his selection for the mission. As reported by the Washington Post: The report states that a CIA official told the Senate committee that Plame "offered up" Wilson's name for the Niger trip, then on Feb. 12, 2002, sent a memo to a deputy chief in the CIA's Directorate of Operations saying her husband "has good relations with both the PM [prime minister] and the former Minister of Mines (not to mention lots of French contacts), both of whom could possibly shed light on this sort of activity." The next day, the operations official cabled an overseas officer seeking concurrence with the idea of sending Wilson, the report said. [7]

However, several CIA officials have since stated that the person who wrote this memo was not present at the meeting where Wilson was chosen.

Accounts of Valerie Plame's involvement in her husband's selection differ significantly.

Wilson has claimed that she simply contacted him on the agency's behalf and escorted him to the meeting before leaving. The evidence cited above, if accurate, would indicate that Plame may also have recommended her husband and/or written a summary of his qualifications when he was being considered. In contrast, Matthew Cooper's e-mail records that Karl Rove told him that Plame had actually authorized the trip.

Wilson's report has also come under fire for inconsistency.

As reported in the same Washington Post article:
The report also said Wilson provided misleading information to The Washington Post last June.

He said then that he concluded the Niger intelligence was based on documents that had clearly been forged because "the dates were wrong and the names were wrong."

"Committee staff asked how the former ambassador could have come to the conclusion that the 'dates were wrong and the names were wrong' when he had never seen the CIA reports and had no knowledge of what names and dates were in the reports," the Senate panel said.

Wilson told the panel he may have been confused and may have "misspoken" to reporters.

The documents -- purported sales agreements between Niger and Iraq -- were not in U.S. hands until eight months after Wilson made his trip to Niger."

Remember that one Scooter--"Misspoke"

Of course this particular "misspeak" confession was only to a Senate panel and didn't sell half as many books or speaking engagements as his shilling appearances on all the fawning television nutworks or the bat-dazzling red convertible photo on the cover of Salon.

Too bad it's not serious enough for a justice department investigation. You righties need some fresh ammo. But alas, nothing in sight here. You keep on shooting blanks then when you do find some live rounds you load up and shoot your foot off, mostly on purpose.

Them oysters must be getting to you, BRT. The details surrounding Wilson that are in debate are incidental, furthermore, he isn't the Vice President or the Vice President's right hand. And, of course, he didn't craft an illegal War.

I was only answering Pwaang's question guys.

Just trying to be HELPfulllllllll...........

The war wasn't illegal, doc. Bush didn't lie and he didn't cause Katrina or break your great aunt's fan belt; nobody "outed" anybody, the economy's doing great, Walmart managers make 70 grand plus a year and there are lots and lots of them; even after taxes that most of the poor in this country don't have to pay they're still better off than 90% of the middle class in many 3rd world countries, yankees make lousy barbecue and the seafood from your area is the best in the world.

Relax.....

The Realities Of The Right Wing World:

The world is flat.

The universe circles the earth.

The earth is 5000 years old.

Bush didn't lie.

Don't sleep in your woman's bed when she is on her period.

Slaves, treat your master with respect and do whatever he asks.

Do you righty-ohs see that you are slaves to your leaders and you follow that last rule to the letter?

Don't see it that way at all, peaches.

I've criticized Bush often, when I felt that he actually DESERVED it. And you just witnessed a calamitous Bush bashing from conservatives over Harriet Miers.

Who's the lefty leader this days anyway, assuming there is one?

We've sure been missing ole John Kerry.

A LOT...:=)

Reid, Cardin, O'Malley, Kaine, Hackett, Obama....
The list goes on and on, BRT.

Who are those people, doc? The Vancouver Canucks?

Honorable men (and women).

So are the Vancouver Canucks, doc. But what does that have to do with LEADERSHIP...?

Shouldn't have put it that way doc, since it's an important ingredient. But, while foundational, it simply isn't enough...

It is no surprise that BRT knows absolutely nothing about democratIC leadership and those that gladly carry the torch of progressive thinking for our country.

Take any of those mentioned and find anything they have done to endanger american lives or better yet find one progressive leader under indictment. Find one name, examine it and then come back and let us know. Were any dragged before the grand jury? Are any under indictment? Are any in fear of or being indicted in the near future?

Your leaders are felons (allegedly) and they bullshit the country at every opportunity while supporters pant like dogs waiting for the next talking point.

Sick men the republican leadership. Not one democrat under indictment or in fear of same.

"Not one democrat under indictment"

At this moment perhaps, in Washington at least.
How Sandy Bergler beat the rap is beyond me though.

" or in fear of same."

another subject entirely.

Same subject with no intelligent response.

Then try again peaches my man.......

And yet another organic brain stem with withering neurons.

How's that?

WHOONNNKKKKKK!

Try again peachy.

{Hey Fred! Get another contestant lined up and ready to -like reeealll fast!-this one's dead on it's brain-er- feet!)

go...

Old BRT-

Why do you change your tact and go after people instead of the message?

Do you hate America?

Don't you support the troops?

Do you have nothing better to do than attack the messanger?

Have you looked and discovered the democratic leadership yet?

Why do you feel Shrub has been a good leader?

Do you know he surrounds himself with allegeg felons?

Why do you hate your homeland?

"Have you looked and discovered the democratic leadership yet?"

No.

I'm still looking for Elvis since I think there's a much better chance of success...

It's hard for a blind man to see anything.

Why do you hate America BRT?
