I was at one of those vigils, RattRigg, and yeah, people smiled occasionally. Some of them were the ones who were talking to a WWII veteran in full uniform, undoubtedly full of bittersweet stories. Some of them were the godless liberals who were singing "Dona nobis pacem." Some of them, like me, were putting on a brave face for their children, hoping that this fucking quagmire your corrupt White House has gotten us into isn't still going on when their children reach draft age.

And some of them were smiling the uncomfortable, nervous smile of those who get a camera stuck in their face - with flash - during a memorial service.

I bet you could get some folks over at the white house to smile real big right now too even though their lives have been forever changed with the "loss" of just one life, that of the alleged felon Lippy.

Except of course he is not dead. He just carries around with him the lives and lost blood of the thousands he took part in sending over to Iraq based on lies told to the american people.

"Michjesse" Malkin's death meme holds no water. It carries with it the actual smell of our dead. His/Her blog is suffering an ever dwindling readership and the "news" networks won't bring her on near as frequently as they once did. His/Her sordid comments are an attempt to get attention from someone who gives a rat's ass about his/her opinion. Keep looking.

lickfinger's a little perturbed by our pointing out raw unabashed righty memes, notes and falsifications.

He I would then assume that we should ignore such things and just write "original material" on the site.

Seems odd that he would claim someone irrational who has a great family, excellent job, a real life and a succesful blog. Why would you do that? Do you personally know any of the posters here beyond what you read and the reactions of your other perpetually disappointed righty brothers?

Or are you just a hater of America?

It's hard to sort these things out sometimes, Lickyitysplitty. But let me try to explain...the stereotype you grasp as reality today is the fallacy you face in the mirror each and every morning.

An observaion on the past 25 years of right-wing rule: The faster liberalism recedes, the more the wingnuts want to warn people about it.

Seems odd. You and BushCo and RushCo and BoBo should all be sitting pretty. For all practical purposes, your side has destoyed us. Why not relax and enjoy yourself?

Is it the guilty conscience? Don't you want at least one "Liberal" left to stick in a zoo as an example? Or must we all be snuffed out? When will you guys/gals be happy and simply admit that you are actually ruling the day--that the liberal threat has, for all practical purposes, been eliminated?

Where does all this "concern" come from? Is it the kind heart--you won't rest until everyone is saved?
