Gravatar First, congratulations on finishing your yarn diet! Second, I think your post-diet plan is eminently reasonable. I was considering a similar one-in-one-out policy (with the requirement that in/out amounts had to be roughly equal), but that wouldn't ever actually *reduce* the stash, now that I think about it. Hmmm...

Gravatar Blimey, that's brave! But your stash isn't too bad in comparison to some people Very well done on restraining yourself!

Gravatar I'm looking forward to seeing you keep all these rules straight! Good luck!

Gravatar I call this a very ambitious plan, if you follow through, you are a better woman than I! Honestly, I applaud people who can flash their stash and still smile. My stash is...ridiculous. Yarn, fiber and fabric. I collect it like an archivist, seriously.

Gravatar It's definitely possible. I would add some restrictions to Stitches West though. Only buy with a pattern in mind AND only buy what you can't get locally. That will help curb the... OOOH, that's soo pretty.. Oooooh, that's SOOO SOFT temptations!

Gravatar Good luck! I am in a similar horrid stash situation!

Gravatar Sounds like a good goal. I tried that, but it didn't work! Good luck

Gravatar I think it's an attainable goal. I'll look forward to seeing some FO's soon!!

Gravatar Sounds like an excellent plan! I have way too much yarn, too... my mother emailed me today to let me know she found a bunch more that I haven't moved up to the apartment yet and where did she want me to put it? (I was just thinking "more yarn!??! dear God, where did she FIND it?")
I have to say that I giggled at the parakeet earwarmer idea.

Gravatar Well, I must bid you good luck - a yarn diet is as tough as a food diet during holiday time - so I will keep my fingers crossed for you!
