Coming home and sitting on the couch with my husband and our cat, and being in our new home makes me truly happy. It's the little things.

Happy Birthday! Mine is Sunday. Gotta love May babies! I'm happy for a husband who loves me, a home of my own, and the ability to buy yarn whenever I get the urge.
I'm so happy for the 11 wonderful years I had with my late cat George and the years we have to come with our other kitty, Chloe. I'm happy for wonderful times I've had with my husband of nearly four years and our journey through library school together (although not at the same time). So many things - wonderful books to read, yummy yarn and fiber to play with and the sun was shining today.

I'm thankful that I have so much when others have so little. My health hasn't been great this year but it is getting better, I have a job that earns me enough money to have a home, a cat, and the option to buy much yarn (although I'm trying to diet!), and a family, a partner and friends who will be here regardless.
And when I see pictures of Burma and China, I have enough money to contribute something to charity appeals. I'm especially happy to be able to help people who are suffering when I am not.

I know, I have it so good, and yet I always want more. But then I lay in bed before I go to sleep and say thank you for all the good things in my life - my boyfriend, my good health, being able to have fun. Art and knitting and reading all make me happy as well. Beautiful stars and the beach make me happy too.

Hope you had a great birthday. You are right to be vigilant about unchecked anxiety, it can really destroy a person (speaking from personal experience). I am happy that I *finally* have a job and really, really love it.

Every morning in the shower I thank the universe that I can take one. Feeling the hot, clean water makes me happy and grateful that I am able to do that.
Happy belated birthday! What a lovely contest idea...I'm grateful that the trees are green now instead of bare black, that I have wonderful friends that make me laugh, and that knitters are so awesome. Also, tweed. I'm pretty much always grateful for tweed.
oh, happy 28th! i wish you wouldn't worry so much. it'll make you old before your time! i've so much to be grateful for. my easy job. my darling husband. my supportive friends and family. my good luck. there's been hard work, too. but i think luck was lady tonight and many nights for me.
Happy Birthday - I wish I was 28 again- like you I worry too much and think I should be happier with all that I have - yarn stores and libraries are two places that make me happy! Happy Birthday! It would seem that I am exactly three days older than you.
One of the things for which I am most grateful is the opportunities I have to teach children something new. I do informal education for a children's museum, and seeing a child's face light up when they discover or comprehend some new idea is possibly the most reward I could ever hope for from a job. It's truly amazing, and it makes me very happy.

I have two sons who have turned out very well (one just called me to have a longer Mother's day chat), a husband who is fabulous, and a Research & Info Resources job (formerly, library) that pays me well and is usually pretty satisfying. Enjoy that birthday. I spent my 28th (lo, these many years ago) in Germany with the U. S. Army.
