The INC people have made millions by this war, so what ever happen to Iraq they will turn back to their homes overseas and live rich ever after, most likely hungry to steal money from more people and devastate even more people's lives. These are the sort of people that sell their souls and the lives of others for money and power. These are the people from all nationalities that are a threat to world peace and they are found inside the US administration working full time to turn the world to hell.

Hi Nadia and Lim,
Nadia, I'm tempted to say you're being awfully negative, pessimistic, and cynical, but anymore, I don't know. I learned in recent years (all my life, actually, but I frequently have to relearn it) that it's best not to make assumptions about other people on the basis of partial or limited information, and to be cautious about judging them when you can't see inside their minds. But of course when events tend eventually to bear out your worst fears from the past about what might happen following certain actions, it's rather hard to continue suspending judgment when it seems more like the 'WILLING SUSPENSION OF DISBELIEF" required for appreciation of a piece of dramatic fiction, a work of art, rather than understanding cold, hard political realities. In the case of the INC and the Bush Administration, it was probably a combination of conscious self-interest and subconcious self-delusion on both sides, along with a large dose of hubris in appreciating the grandeur of the neo-con plot line for "transforming" the Middle East. In the end, the "Hellenes" have won out over the "east" again, not through a triumph of rational thought, but by turning Iraq (and who knows how many other countries, including my own, by the time they're finished?) into another Greek tragedy.

Calabi and the rest of the neocons are so crawled up each other's asses who can say who was responsible for what. What is true is that Chalabi was being paid big bucks for his role as an "informant". I think Feith and the rest of that gang went to him and told him "we need evidence on this and this" and he went and cooked it up for them. Whether they actually knew what he was inventing is debatable. I don't think they would have cared, frankly.
