Gravatar Obama already has an extremely well organized team of yes-men, I'd rather see the "progressives" work to get their issues on the table. Their approach so far, and the general lack of criticism coming from the left(though there has been a little more recently), really, really worries me and I don't see why we should give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Of course, it's also kind of hard to criticize someone who hasn't actually done anything yet, but it was the same thing with Kerry in 04 "let's get him elected, worry about organizing later"-well he's in, now what? Best case scenario, he's not impeached?

But the general lack of pissed off-ness from the neocons post-election is what worries me a lot more than any of that.

Gravatar Well, I ended up voting for him rather than Ralph Nader, but not for his running mate, Joe "I'm a Zionist" Biden. Instead of checking off the box for both, I wrote in Obama for Pres. and Rashid Khalidi, his Palestinian-American friend (or should that be "friend"? I finally made the switch after reading the week before that McCain had compared Khalidi to a neo-Nazi. Didn't see anything from Obama contesting the characterization.), for Vice President. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for a few months, and don't envy him the task ahead. What a fine mess you've gotten us into, Georgy! (I guess we can't blame him for EVERY thing!)
