I've heard a number of pundits openly speculating (at least I hope it's only speculation!) that Hillary's grand strategy is to weaken Obama enough that McCain wins, so that Hillary can come back in 2012 from a stronger position. If there is even a scintilla of truth to that conjecture, it would be grounds to drum her out of the party and end her career, because that would be elevating her personal ambition above both the good of the Democratic Party and the good of the country.

Maybe McCain will choose Clinton as his running mate after she's destroyed Obama's chance to win in November. She's been a more important ally to McCain than even Lieberman!
