With this coming about Fred Thompson, it would be a prime opportunity for Duncan to bolt ahead. I'm running a blog at www.dhgrassrevolt.wordpress.com to help spur activism for Hunter. We've got some things going on to help him at Ames, which is the perfect opportunity for him to bolt ahead.

Don't jump off the wagon before it gets rolling, Tim. Fred's the candidate, not Spencer Abraham. You could play this same game with anyone else in the field- not everyone on every campaign is going to be sound on all issues. Let Fred stand or fall on his own stances, not a subordinate who is hired to help him compete in Michigan.
Well Vince, the thing is, is that Fred's record matches this guy a little bit. His record on immigration is not much different than John McCain's. Fred got an overall career grade of C from Americans for Better Immigration, at one time it was Cminus. (In all fairness, John McCain got a D). Not to mention his votes to raise minimum wage, in favor of campaign finance reform, not to impeach Bill Clinton, affirmative action, etc...
