My skills in apprehension have led me to believe that I am incapable of speaking to or about intelligent, attractive women in a civilized manner.

Sorry about the above comment; I was overwhelmed with small penis issues.
Good luck.

one of the very wonderful things about the athabascan language groups is the our word for beauty and the word for good are the same.
jooni, can mean beauty as in pleasing to the eye, or a soul filling breath taking beauty like sunset in the white mountains.
our morning prayer, the beauty way, asks:
yo'sen, may i walk today in beauty.
beauty on my left, that i receive beauty
beauty on my right, that i give beauty away
beauty before me, that i go into beauty
beauty behind me, that i come out of beauty
beauty below me, as i walk on the beauty of the earth
beauty above me, as i walk under the beautiful sky.
yo'sen, may i walk today, in beauty.
all in all, it's not a bad way to start the day don'cha think?

yo'sen, biihiil hishash aaii diji jooni
in apache it is one of the few things that actually sounds soft. our language is almost never called pretty. we don't have the liquid musicality of kiowa, or the ringing alliterations of the lakotah and shoshone.
when our saturday's child of a language rises to poetry like this, it is gratifying.

MB, thank you for that. I can't think of a better way to describe it than to say, How beautiful!
