I had the privilege of attending Mass here on the Friday after (or before) Corpus Christi in 1989. Because it was so near to Corpus Christi the Corporal was on display.
In the main part of the cathedral are a series of enormous tapestries depicting the story of how St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Boneventure were asked to write the Mass and Office for Corpus Christi. Tradition has it that when Bonaventura heard St. Thomas' he ripped his up.
These tapestries are beautiful. It's a beautiful, quiet place to go and well, the wine is also incredible. There is a caffe across the square where it is highly advised to have a seat and a glass as the sun is setting and hitting the rose window of the Cathedral.
Because it was Friday I recall having sardines soaked in olive oil for lunch!
Happy Feast of Corpus Christ!
(In the Vatican and other places the feast was Thursday.)

Thanks for sharing your experience. It's like a virtual trip to the Cathedral! If one has any money left after oil-soaked sardines, it's worth the price of admission to the museum across the street, just so one can climb up to the third floor and get a better view of the exquisite relief work on the front of the Cathedral.
