Nothing wrong with the "beaters", I drive one ,a very reliable 88 Oldsmobile.
The best handling car I've ever driven is a Volvo.
My understanding is front wheel drive for handling, rear wheel drive for speed.

Don't know if you had a chance to read my Thursday Thirteen today--all about cars. We did have an Audi for awhile (company car) and liked it.

Yes Norma. I read your post Thursday and really enjoyed it. Like so many of your readers I too was inspired to count all the cars that I have owned. It was an easier task than I imagined because each car seemed to mark a distinct time in my life. So far, I have owned 7 vehicles.
