Do you have an interest in statistics and/or mathematics?

Hey John! Yes I have an interest in statistics. I studied economics in college and have blogged about hyperbolic planes. I love geometry but am no student much more an expert. At best, I could only consider myself an enthusiast.
Why? Got some problems you want to share or books you can recommend?

No problems to share at the moment, but I could suggest books depending on what level of mathematical rigour you are looking for. Alternatively, there are some interesting general books on things like the statistical analysis of markets, etc.. that may be of interest given you studied economics.

Sounds good. What "general" books would you suggest given my limited math skills (but decent economics background)?
Irregardless, I enjoy your comments.
But, why no blog of your own?

There's a good one by Philip Mirowski called "More Heat than Light: Economics as Social Physics, Physics as Nature's Economics". Yet another nice book is "The Stock Market and Finance from a Physicist's Viewpoint" by M.F. Osborne. Both books are very clearly written and have little math (it is not needed to gain an understanding of the subject matter).
As for myself and having no blog - I am extremely busy and really don't have the time or the inspiration to write about much. I know that's a pretty poor excuse, but it's true! I barely have time to tie my shoes...
