Has Lina rejoined the ranks of bloggers? -- I wonder.
My cell phone has a voice recorder but I've only used it a couple of times. The camera, on the other hand, has gained more importance in my life. This coming from a person who used a pretty primitive phone up until November 2007 is surprising to me. I, like you, have always thought that the main function of a phone should be making phone calls. Now, however, the camera comes in pretty handy. Less people stare at you when you take pics with it than with the regular camera. I like that.

I can identify with the "mental blogging" syndrom. I have it all the time, driving, eating, drinking, working, walking, sleeping...amongst other activities!

Indeed, one singular revolution we are witnessing is that of the mobile phone, which is now much more than a phone. Of course, as you point out, it is a different matter that internet penetration in many countries is low, even in India.
What you say about "compulsive blogging thoughts" is so right. I am sure every dedicated blogger must be feeling it. Blogging on the move can be an intoxicating feeling, I guess. With the hope of doing that some day, recently I upgraded my mobile! The power of technology, though we may not use it always, must rank as one of the best marvels in world.

Mental blogging is just a characteristic of a real blogger, this will be going through ur entire life believe me, even if we'll get to have those sophisticated devices one day

I love mental blogging because the thing that amazes me about it is that when I actually begin to type whatever it is that is on my mind, the words come to my fingertips just as I had recorded them inside my brain.
However, it would be nice to have some kind of portable recording device. It would be a convenient gadget!

Also in my country, Italy, especially in the rural country areas the DSL connection is a dream. I live in that "uncovered" and "wild" area. Anyway sometimes I consider it as a little benefit that keep us natural, like when you breathe the pure air instead of that "pure air" from an oxygene mask.
Taking pictures is a lazy way to take note of the sorrounding... One picture tells more than one thousand words and it does not matter if that picture will appear on a newspaper or on TV.
