I find that when I'm looking for a date, I never find one, or at least not one that's any good.
It's when I give up for a while, and stop looking, that I find someone compatible.
Of course, relationships with me are a bit tricky....
I agree with Jenn (*waves at Jenn*) that romance only happens when you're not looking for it. Or possibly when you're fixated on someone else. >_>
Re CIB being overly keen - but that's what falling in love is like isn't it, at least at first? Until you reach the Sunday night takeaway and film stage 
. That "can't stop touching one another" feeling, even if you're too shy to actually do so; the constant (quasi-unconscious) kissing thing; the tendency to drop their name into the conversation at every opportunity. Or is that just me? *g*
Anyway, I think what I'm trying to say is that obviously you weren't feeling that with CIB, so it's no wonder you couldn't stand it. But I do think you should keep looking for the crush factor. Perhaps part of the problem at the moment is that you're doing so much analysing of the men you're dating that it's getting in the way of your gut reactions to them?
I'll stop rambling now, because what do I know, on the other side of the world...
I'm hearing you and yes you are probably right. I think my main problem in general is that I like my relationships when they start out as friendships and to have a really good friendship base, and so my problem is of course that dating won't ever work if I need to be friends with someone first...
I used to want nothing more than to settle down, marriage kids etc. Lately I'm not interested anymore. Don't think I'll ever find what I'm looking for as I don't think I'll ever figure out what it is.

Well I always had a thing for redheads so I guess marriage would be ok...
Don't worry about the lack of bloggage, you've not done badly so far. Just don't make a habit of these long breaks. ;P
