Gravatar I love your trench! The Burberry lining really steps it up!

Gravatar The trench is incredible. I agree with Erica, the lining is the "wow" factor.

Gravatar What a jaw dropper - you're going to get some much use from it too!

Gravatar This coat is amazing!!! Totally worth all of the effort.

Gravatar Beautiful trench! I want to try making a trench this spring, and you've inspired me to get moving.

Gravatar Wow. Leslie. Totally inspiring! Great, great job. I see things like this and it's hard to believe it came out of anyone's sewing room and not the workworms of Burberry!

Gravatar And, great job photographing the black!

Gravatar You did a great job, you should be proud to wear it.

Gravatar Great trench coat!!! I love all the detail shots and the lining fabric is a great choice.

Gravatar Your trench looks fantastic. Where did you find the hanging chain? I have the same fabric in burgundy waiting to be made up.

Gravatar Absolutely Stunning! What a wonderful Trench!

Gravatar That is AWESOME!!! I love your attention to detail. I love the way you used grosgrain ribbon to finish the raw edges on the interior.

Gravatar Looks awesome. I know (from personal experience) it must have been a lot work, so wear it a lot! It is gorgeous!

Gravatar Seriously fantastic trenchcoat. All those time consuming details really make it special.

Gravatar You did an excellent job on this trench!

Gravatar That trench looks fantastic! I saw that fabric recently and couldn't remember where I'd seen it before. Now, I may have to go get some now!

I purchased a vintage buttonholer too and have the same problem with the stitch length. I'm using it on a regular basis though because it's so nice to know that each buttonhole is exactly the same.

Gravatar Your trench is amazing! Great job!

Gravatar Wow, this is an awesome coat, first time or not. Great job, especially with all the detailing. Coats take persistence and good for you that you followed through.

Gravatar This coat is totally worth all the work you put into it. The details make it look so professional.

Gravatar This court is perfect!!! You did an awesome, awesome job. Excellent.

Gravatar AMAZING!!!! There aren't enough superlatives to describe how wonderful your trench is!!!

Gravatar Your coat is stunning. You'll wear it forever.

Gravatar Agree with all previous comments, you did an awesome job. Very, very beautiful and inspiring.

Gravatar Your trench looks so professional. Absolutely stunning and perfect work.

Gravatar What a labor of love! All of your attention to detail paid off. You really set the bar for the rest of us with Burberry in our stash...

I noticed online that they usually show the belts tied like you have instead of belted the 'proper' way. Of course you will eventually put eyelets in your belt but I like the way you're wearing it now.

I never noticed before that the chest flap buttons over the other side of the coat! Very interesting.

Gravatar Wow this looks utterly fantastic!! You've done such a professional job on this!

I've seen those Singer buttonhole makers before, but somehow never even considered that they could be used on non-vintage machines.

Gravatar What a great trench coat. Great lining choice, too.

Gravatar Your trench is absolutely fabulous!!!

Gravatar Looks great. Well worth the work! And the Burberry lining doesn't hurt!

Gravatar Wow this is such an adorable coat. Your attention to detail and all of the time you spent was well worth the result, very inspiring! -kb

Gravatar I love your coat. It looks and fits great - you did a wonderful job. I have that same fabric but haven't gotten up the nerve to cut into it yet. Lining - wherever did you find it?

Gravatar Beautifully done. Thanks for posting all the details.

Gravatar You did such a beautiful job on this. I loved seeing it in person. Very inspiring
