I remember seeing a thing on TV about a striped antelope-type animal that was endangered. Somehow they transferred an embryo from one to a Jersey cow to see if she could carry it to term. She could and did, and when it was born it was a striped antelope. Of course she licked it and nursed it, but you could see that it wasn't really her offspring. I was already pro-life, but that really brought home to me the fact that once you have even the beginnings of life, the ultimate individual is already defined.
