The voice of him that crieth in the Bloggerness!

Gravatar Well, megacongrats there, young feller!

[Gramps] - heh

Gravatar Congrats, Grampy!

Gravatar Congrats!

Gravatar Congratulations, Grandpa.

Gravatar Congratulations!

Gravatar Congratulations, O Wise One of Blogging!

Gravatar Congratulations! As a fellow incredibly youthful grandparent , I promise to refrain from the "gramps."

But let me assure you that what they say is true...grandchildren are soooo much better than children. You get to love them and spoil them, and send them home. And they adore you, because you are not the one nagging them all the time! It's perfection!

Gravatar Tanks, all!

Maggie, the grandchildren may be more fun, but since I'll be having them simultaneously with the kids, I'll probably miss out on some of the spoiling. This one will have at least one uncle less than a year older than him/her, as we're having a baby by scheduled C-section on Tuesday.

But I am looking forward to one I can send home at the end of the day.

Gravatar Wow, that's exciting--congrats and best wishes for health to everyone.

Ha! I was in third grade with a guy whose uncle was in the second grade class at the same school. And no, that's not an Arkansas joke.

Gravatar Congratulations, Joel. I am a new fan of yours, and did not know about the pending little one in your own home. How exciting!

I'm sure you will still enjoy the one you can send home, and I seriously doubt there will be a lack of reasonable spoiling.

This reminds me of You've Got Mail, where the Tom Hanks character takes a girl of about 12, and a boy of about 6 to the children's bookstore and explains these are not his kids, but his aunt and brother respectively.

Family is all good as long as there is love. Age is insignificant.
