Jim,
Just found this website as I was surfing the 'net. I'm about 200 days late and several dollars short on seeing it and responding.
Still...
I got a good chuckle out of this article about comics and creators portraying characters in how they handle the bow.
Great article that was right on target. (My bad pun intended.)
I'll have to tell you later about the time I *really* shot a home-made boxing glove arrow. You'll die laughing.
Thanks,
Scott McCullar

Hi there, this was fun to read. I often wondered abuot that finger on the arrow thing, having handled a bow and arrow before it sounded painful to me. I thought if it's seen so frequently, it must come from somewhere... maybe there's something I don't know? (I was smart enough not to try it out though *laugh*)
BUt as far as holding the bow sideways, here's a strange little story: On a televised bet between a swiss guy with the most primitive bow imaginable and an archery club he was doing just that. And he didn't even look at the aim. Just shoot one after another... not a second apart. He almost won, the challenge being who can get more hits in a given time, him or all of them together. But I guess that counts as repeat shots after the aim was already found... amazing though, how steady the fellow must have held his bow....
Greetings, o green-arrowed one
*grins*
