Aren't the X-Men based in Connecticut though? NY state laws aren't applicable. Not that I know what the CT law is, but I'd think it'd be easy enough to look up, esp. for someone in law who is interested.

Erm...nevermind. My bad (as the kids say). I don't follow the X-Men, but I just STFW, and - as everyone else besides me probably knows - they're based in Westchester County, NEW YORK.
