Maybe I'm missing some context, but to me, saying "it's all in the wrist" comes off as an idomatic way of saying "there's a certain technique to it".
Of course, given the other archery related gaffes you've documented here, I can see why you might think that the literal meaning of the phrase is what was intended :-/

Between the critiques of MacQuarrie, Loren, and Scott over at Polite Dissent, it's a wonder any comic book artists and writers dare show archery, law or medicine in comics at all. Yet they seem to pop up constantly.
Which is why my proposed project for DC, "Dr. Fletcher, J.D.," will be such a smash. See, this lawyer/doctor fights crime and heals the wounded by day, and at night, he grabs a bow and goes out to avenge the---
Oh, forget it.

If she hadn't immediately followed it up with "If we survive, I'll show you," I would have taken it as an idiom. Given the dialogue, it seems she's actually explaining it.
Given the amount of time and attention directed at getting the wrist to stop interfering, "it's all in the wrist" would be an extremely ironic idiom to choose.

Whenever I say "it's all in the wrist" it's usually with a massive wink and a "come hither handsome young man and let me have my wanton way with you" gleam in my eye.... maybe that's what she ment and the artist was just crap (can't draw proper archer pose, can't draw proper wenching pose)?

The frustrating part is that, as usual, the artist is very good... except when it comes to research. There is a ton of photo reference available from any number of archery websites; five minutes with Google should provide one with all the information needed to get it right.
As somebody once said, there's just no longer any excuse for being a dumbass.

Is it just me, or is she getting worse?

Is she... holding the arrow between forefinger and thumb?
Ick.

It looks to me like she's holding the very end of the arrow between the top knuckles of her middle and ring fingers. She must have some very strong fingers to hold that position.
It also seems unwise to have her finger holding the point of the arrow. Of course, she wouldn't have to do that if she wasn't holding the bow upside down.
