You do seem to focus on the negative, UI. Can you not look at the positives of winter...wait, I'll think of some...white hot chocolate, sledding...there's got to be a few more...Christmas shows, snow days (at least for most of you people, nothing here shuts down), there's less miserable people out and about because they are all staying indoors, the kids go to bed earlier because it's so dark...see there are a few pluses. Of course, you could always move to somewhere warm. California maybe and then you can complain about forest fires and mudslides. Florida, where there's the odd hurricane. Cuba, where Americans aren't legally allowed to visit. There's a plus if ever I've seen one. I could bitch about American tourists for days.

I guess the negative just hits you faster when winter first lands.......

Can i add drinking hot port in pubs and feeling legit 'cause you can barely feel your hands?

I hate winter too.
As a person who lives in a warm land I can say that winter is hard to stand.
Anyway I agree with all of your ten things. I'd like to add that I cannot stand the smoky air that winter involves. All those smoky chimneys that fill the air with that thick and acrid smell that sticks on your clothes and hair.
But, believe it or not, even in the land of sunshine there are many and many people that hate summer and look forward this sad and depressing season, people that hate warm a sunny days and rather prefer foggy, wet and cold days.
Variety is the spice of life

While the dead of winter can be depressing, I actually love this time of year, when you get first excellent cold blasts, sometimes followed by the odd, short, disarming, warm spell.

I don't love winter but I do love open fire's, extra duvets, hot whiskey's, seeing your breath and that freshness in the air that makes you feel alive! It's not all bad!

OK I'll agree it's not all bad but I'd much prefer a cold beer on a warm, sunny day than a hot whiskey on a cold, windy day!
