This "Guide to Blogging" is very similar to a past post of yours in which you listed the 7 (were they seven?) phases of a blogger's life, from enthusiasm, through disillusion to maturity |
Another aspect of blogging is that while engaged with someone face 2 face you can generally tell if they are trying to wind you up. In the blogosphere, its harder to do that. |
On the up side you can post pictures of yourself and gets lots of compliments on your gorgeous legs. (*wink wink* to no one in particular) |
Plus it can get you fired, or dooced I believe is the technical term |
And you can end up being quoted in certain papers.. if they're paying attention. Such as today's Guardian [not sure if this piece is online.. I'll have a look] which quotes united.irelander.blogspot.com on that video - Boys will be boys[one] "Is it because I'm a woman that the attraction escapes me? Is this something to do with male bonding and is it the equivalent of a girlie shopping expedition?" |
11. Being picked upon as a hate figure by other blogs. |

Page 2 of the main section.. in the Today on the web piece. Don't think it's online, though.. Res Publica also got a mention. |
So UI's famous now? Will he still have time for the little people of the blogosphere? |

Sorry aileen, I forgot the naked men for today's economic post. Oh well. |
UI, this is the best post I've seen from you, and that's saying summat. Bravo. |
