Another aspect of blogging is that while engaged with someone face 2 face you can generally tell if they are trying to wind you up. In the blogosphere, its harder to do that.

If someone begins their response to my points with saying "there must be something wrong with you" calls me names or offers some gratuitous personal comment, I think they ipso facto have lost the argument and it tends to slide downhill from there!

On the up side you can post pictures of yourself and gets lots of compliments on your gorgeous legs. (*wink wink* to no one in particular)

The biggest problem I have with blogging is that once you start to get readers you feel obliged to keep going. At times that can be hard.

And you can end up being quoted in certain papers.. if they're paying attention. Such as today's Guardian [not sure if this piece is online.. I'll have a look] which quotes united.irelander.blogspot.com on that video - Boys will be boys[one] "Is it because I'm a woman that the attraction escapes me? Is this something to do with male bonding and is it the equivalent of a girlie shopping expedition?"

Not sure if they're quoting you, UI.. or from one of the comments.
