Interesting interview, but he was a tad dismissive of that word association thing.

I wonder where he thinks a bankrupt country (as Ireland was in the 30s/40s) which couldn't even afford to import Indian tea would get the money to equip an army and send it off to war? The financial effort of WW2 nearly bankrupted two of richest countries in the world (England and America), so he's dreaming if he thinks Ireland had the wealth for war.

Aine Ni Chonaill next week? Brilliant!

I can't wait to hear what lunacy she's spouting!!

Excellent interview, except the bit where he says "they were all elected to Office". Padraig Pearse, while a great national hero who was right to do as he did, was not elected to office. Just clearing up a small factual inaccuracy by Joe there. No disrespect to Pearse whose sacrifice, with the other men and women of 1916 mind.

I look forward to Aine Ni Chonaill next week. Everyone is entitled to their democratic right of freedom od expression. I am something of a fan of hers and would vote for her if she stood in my constituency. I think she is often misrepresented in sections of the PC media and by politicians fearful of losing votes on this issue if a serious challenger came along to campaign on this issue. Will find her views most interesting!

Great interview, I thought he came off very well.

Reg,

I can't wait to hear what lunacy she's spouting!!

Indeed! UI has interviewed a lot of lefties though so why not hear another voice, even if it is that of a fantastically unpopular racist.

I don't think she's a racist.

She got 900 votes in a Dublin constituency as a first time Independent and that's not bad.

I'll wait for the result of Kerry North with the bush caused 9/11 election canidate to judge how votes can be seen as legitimising somene
