Putin's gesture was certainly dodgy, but in the spirit of consistency, all those politicians who go around kissing babies during electoral campaigns will presumably be treated in the same way as that vicar.

Good point, Northern Sole. Plus, kids are disease-carriers; and babies are germ warfare machines - disgusting animals. They shouldn't be touched by ungloved hands, never mind kissed. You may as well kiss a turd.
Of course, this is all evidence of The Neurotic Society - which follows a prolonged period of Political Correctness. There was a time when kids were there to win approval from the adults; now it's the the other way around: the adults are just three to win approval from the kids. Kid-centric Society - which follows a prolonged period where kids (the most vicious animals on the planet) are promoted to minature gods after adults are demoted to objects of evil.
Want proof? Forget it. Now where was I... ah yes: I hate kids - utterly detest the vermin.
