I thought the speech was OK.

It was OK for what it was I suppose but I didn't like how he plugged Lisbon.

His speech to the colonial legislature in westminister was better. he pulled no punches then. Thought he might mention the folly of the USA'a neo-colonial adventures in the middle east, alas he didn't....not our beef i suppose, ahh well.

Well you know the Americans (and the poor forgotten Canadians too) love their Irish. He could have said the lyrics to Wild Irish Rover and got a standing ovation.

Now he's after saying that a no vote would be "lunacy and insanity", saying we 'can't hold onto nostalgia'. How insulting to no voters like me. Does he want to become the Rev.Wright of the yes campaign? http://www.irishexaminer.com/bre...d/mhgbaucwsnmh/

Haha Emma, that is probably true. They were up and down like yo-yos all through the speech. I think standing ovations lose their impact if given so cheaply.
