Counting Willie Frazer, the anti St Andrews (pro McCann/Vance vote) was 12,000.
The DUP vote alone was 200,000.

Anyway back to the election. I'm really struggling at the moment trying to decide how to vote. Do I :
a) vote for FF, ignoring the brown envelopes but believing that they are still the best option going forward
b) vote for Greens i.e. protest vote
c) spoil my vote i.e. protest vote option 2.
two things are for sure:
1. I would love a change of government
2. neither Labour nor FG will get my vote. I wouldn't trust Kenny as far as I could throw him and even just thinking about Kenny & Rabbit in Government makes me want to vomit.
We're really fucked in this country at the moment. There's hardly a decent politician worth voting for.

I would not say his comments were "pleading". Pleading for what? I think that they were heartfelt, human.

Can understand your position completely UI. Mr. Gaskin reached a similar conclusion recently as you know, for similar reasons.
I'll just say one last thing- if someone has the time and inclination to create a site that is devoted to comment or criticism of the aforementioned site, that could be useful.
Believe that there are "anti" sites that refer to Little Green Footballs, Drudge Report, etc. Its the sincerest form of flattery, but it is one way of avoiding the possibility of comment deletions and it will mean that guys like UI and Gaskin can lead their own discussions without having every thread hijacked by comment on the latest hijinks of McCann or whatever the hell.
Another alternative will be for another general interest/political Irish site to have an periodic comment on the other site, and to start a conversation, etc.
