USA boycotted the 1980 Summer Olympics because the Evil Soviet Communist regime invaded Afghanistan in 1979. Do you think USA will boycott the Beijing Olympics because the Evil Chinese Communist regime invaded Tibet in 1950 and now are shooting a lot of the Tibetan people?
Could it be that the west are so interested in the money they can make in China that they, god forbid, overlook what is happening in China? Na, probably the west will stand up for there high moral principles and do the right thing.
