You are one of the people at our church who really does make other people feel welcome and cared about. It is appreciated so much and we are so thankful for you! PS I am shy too so I totally get that comment.

Even though we weren't invited to movie night, I must say the #1 reason we love our church is because we do feel like everyone is our extended family. In fact, I feel so connected that I'm totally ok with the fact that I wasn't invited to movie night. It doesn't bother me one bit. My feelings aren't at all hurt. ... wait, let me go wipe my tears... lol
Oh, and I'm shy too. Until I get to know you. Then you wish I would go back to being shy.

Betsy, when I read the comment, “I’ve gone to church my whole life and no one has ever invited me to do anything." It really saddened my heart. Someone I am very close to has experienced this and it grieves me to know that many churches still are full of factions. I realize that we all click with certain type of people, but it is important for people to feel welcomed and accepted. The church should be the warmest place a person can attend. The love of God should be felt by all.
Keep up the good atmosphere of fellowship; it gives people a sense of security, and belonging.
