err thre are 2 endings
1) escape frm the MRT/train. u run out and run right hand side, den the whole mrt station darkens (light flicker and go out). den the ghost (with the black "arms" of sort tentacles watever u call them) comes slowly from the left to ur direction.
2) u still get stuck due to doors of the MRT/train close. u look down a hand comes out and grab ur left leg.
I HOPE there is ep 4 (though its already a long time after ep 3 came out)
still unsure what happens next though
but i think for the first ending maybe u continue in the MRT station and the second ending u still stuck in mrt? or maybe someplace else

What is the darkness series about?
Darkness is about supernatural horror i find it interesting to see how different people react to different fear inducing situation. When twisted, the most common familiar things end up so much scarier. That is why all the locations in darkness (so far are based on real) it is important for the player to believe that the situation that the girl is put through could very easily occur to the player as well. That is what makes it scary.
What are the different episodes about?
In each episode, I introduced different fear-inducing situation. In episode 1, darkness players play with the fear of the unknown. In episode 2, the antagonist is clearly defined and this induces tension and fear due to the environment of clear and present danger. In episode 3, we play with the tension and fear caused by the urgency of the current situation. In episode 4, who knows?
What is the story about? Is there even a story?
What and why the girl is doing here will be revealed later in the series. The images in this "flash sequence" can also be considered hints.
Why should we turn up the sound?
Sound plays a huge part in creating scares. People have been trained by the mass media to react to certain sounds effects. Some sounds indicate danger while some will likely shock. Hence for maximum effect and enjoyment, the darkness series should be played with the speakers turned up.

walkthru for darkness 3:
when ur on the train go to the red bag on the seat and click on it, and there is a candle.
on the seat opposite it there will be a piece of paper and a wad of chewing gum sticking out on the right hand corner click on it and go back to where u sitting before and click the underneath of the seat opposite u. there will be a box of matches.
the tumblers that are missing from the music box in the red bag are on the floor and one is in the vent, click on the train map underneath there will be a mirror use it to look in the vent and get the other tumbler.
go back to the piece of paper lying on the seat and put the matches to the candle and pass it over the lemony spot it will reveal a code.
put the tumblers in the missing slots of the music box and enter the code.
it will open. put the mirror and the gum together and stick it in the empty space above the mechanism.
press the space bar repeatedly until the girl runs into the next carriage. pick up the comb, the cola and the tied up bag that are lying in the carriage. use the comb to open the bag and mix the cola and the mentos together and use it to defend urself.
the screen will flash white and the girl will be alone again in the carriage.go right to the end of the carriage and there will be a key on the seat grab it and run as fast as u can to the previous carriage, the red bag where u found the candle will still be there along with the box .put the key in the mechanism and keep turning it until a whole bunch of pictures will flash by the screen. when it is done run to the door. game is finish

I love the darkness but don't you think that in Darkness 4 she should wake up on a plane but its empty but in the air! So she can't get off! then blah blah blah, scary, scary, scary. Then Darkness 5 she wakes up in her house and checks the place out and then she sees people there! How cool would the darkness be with people there, but y'know the film the others. wow, episode 3 was very scary especially in the end when you see that scary girl hanged from the trains door.

THIS GAME ROOOOOCKS
Curious thing that the egg-shapped stone didn´t was utilized in this episode.
And the allucination on the box was confusing.
Other thing that makes me confuse was the password in episode 1, when you type wake up, the game over screen appears and then say´s:
You´r not ready to wake up.
Also, in episode 2, the action takes place in a hospital (or the possible death place for the ghost when she was alive), and then in episode 3 the allucination show´s us some scientists (or medics, whatever they are), so the hospital should be linked to the box in some way.
OMG I shit my pants EVERY FREAKING TIME i play this game. My heart is pounding 50 times faster, i wake up in the night screaming and all sweaty.MY F**KING GOD, Just make episode 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darknese 4 come out!!!
I really loved darkness one, really really loved darkness two and really, really, really, loved darkness three. Every time I thought i was never going to finish the game, you guy's suprised me. Then i realized that the awnser was cleverly hidden in plain sight, so cleverly that no one thought to look there because they just didn't expect it. But one thing i also realized was that through out the three episodes the main character lost some of her cloth's. Like in the first one she is wearing her school uniform, in the second, the dress was cut to about her knee's and in the third she even addmits that her skirt(please note that it went from a dress to a skirt)...... was a little bit skimpy. And also the ghost, in number one was wearing well, darkness, which hid all her body, in number two, she was wearing an ankle long night gown, and in number three she was naked. But i must complment on you'r choice of long flowing hari turned tentacles, very horrorish. I must also say that I am not an easy person to scare but this sure did the job. I commend you on you'r exalant job and wish along with everyone else that that there will be many more Darknesses to came in the future. Thank You Very Much.
Holy shit! o.O The second scariest game ever! I think the house was the scariest, but this was pretty good! I kinda wussed out the first couple times I played it, then I decided to make a walkthrough, failed twice, but eventually escaped, still being chased at the end? o.O

I have a crazy theory. I wouldn't believe a bit of my words but it sounds good to me. I believe that the instant she opened the door in Darkness 1 she was kidnapped by a bunch of doctors and scientists for a unknown goal. This would explain the pictures of doctors and machines in Ep 3. This also explains how the girl's and the ghost's apperance changes, and how she goes from location to location so quickly. The ghost is a program tool to help the doctors get what they want. Bt this girl has found kinks in the program. She found the egg shaped stone and the wooden box, which link her to reality. Now the ghost is trying to scare her to stop her otherwise she would have already been dead. The stone tells how long it's been in the real world. "It feels like I have been Sleeping for Two years" The box shows her whats happening(the pictures) The hospital and the subway, originally programs to scare her, are heping her break free of the thing the scientists have put her under.
The good ending in Ep.3 alowes the girl to continue on her path to freedom. But i wonder once she's out of the Trance how will she escape the scientists?
The bad ending means she fell back under the scientists influence and will never see the light of day again. (:
Eventually she'll befree and she'll live happily ever after THE END
I also think there will be 5 Darkness episodes

I love this games, it's quite thrilling and exciting to search things and escaping from the GHOST at times. I have finished playing Darkness 1 & 2, it is damn good to play. But now I have a problem playing Darkness 3........

how do you read the red words in the flash sequence????????? help!
When the lights go out in the train you have to get the bottle of LUT!cola,then get the bag that has a knot on it,then get the comb on the floor and use it on the closed bag,it will be emptied and in it is a tube of mentos and a magazine. Use the mentos on the cola.
How do you get off the train after you turn the key in the music box and the ghost disapears and you have to get off before the train leaves?

Well I was just scrolling down and yeah I did notice that she loses more clothes from episode to episode kind of wierd.....and .:.makers.:. I just played the 3rd version and got a good look at the evil girl from darkness and she does too!! In episode 2 she was wearing a gown (and holding a knife??) and in episode 3 she was...naked...but she has longish hair don't worry dear readers!! Plus I really think giving her lots of "tentacle" things instead of reallllly long hair was a good idea (I don't know if in the episode 1 it was long hair or what but that's what it looked like...)wow I think I like the ghost better than the girl because shes really cool! I especially like the part where she (in episode 3 if you get off the train) follows you off the train! That just looks damn cool! Especially with all the dark coming behind her! anyways what I wanted to say was its good work but no stripping plz (lol) KEEP IT COMING!!!!!

hey, I just want to know every ones jugement on the plot. I think the girl gets kidnaped by "creepyghostdude" and knocked out taken to the hospitle (in ep 2) and killed by none other then "creepyghostdude" and her ghost (the girl in the white dress)is chasing her around (for some unkown reason) and trying to kill her with the operating knife in her hand then when the lights go out in the elevator "creepyghostdude" knocks her out again and takes her to the train and this time (instead of her ghost)it's her zombie!! "dum dum dum dum dun dun dun dun!" then her zombie tries to kill he with her hair and at the end grabs her leg! UNLESS you get out! but then her ghost starts following her! SOOOOOOOOO!!! what do all YOU think let us all know!

Hey, I just noticed something strange.
It could be something, could be nothing, I didn't have time to check it out.
When you escape the train, or get the 'good ending' as it's being called (though you are still being chased, so I don't really know how that is considered
good), I accidently put my mouse over the ghost when it was outside the train.
The arrow changed to a hand, and in the little description where you see the name of the item was three question marks (???, like that).
If you were to click the ghost, does it do anything? Or say anything more?
I didn't get a chance to try...

OMFG I WAS SCARED SHITLESS... WHEN SHE POP UP NEXT TO ME ON THE TRAIN, I THINK I DIED A LITTLE INSIDE... MY EYES... I COULDN'T TAKE IT... I HAD TO CLOSE MY EYES... WHEN SHE ALMOST GOT ME, I SCREAMED!!!!! THEN... it... it... it... froze. DAMN IT ALL! I CANT EVEN TAKE THE SCREAM FROM THE SPEAKERS... I have to close my ears... or I WILL SCREAM TOO! SO SCARY... this might only be a prediction, the reason why there's a baby cuz that was the girl (your player) that all the doctors all had their attention on the person giving birth to her, and forgot all situation of the woman haunting her.
the scary girl was the one who was going to die, but was ignored cuz of the player.

had nothing to do after exams so off i went in search for aimless games to play. upon which i stumbled across samurai, and from there your blog and the darkness catalogue where I was surprised (very pleasantly so) to see the girl in darkness 3 in an all so familiar school uniform which then piqued my curiosity into you (Lut!) further.... turns out ur from where I guessed you'll be. congrats on the samurai game. it's the bomb. ur creative genius, i would say, is probably even more worthy of mention than the previously hyped TYLER team.

I have another theory about the story: Do you remember the picture in the girl's room, in the first game? There's a picture of the flash animation "Dreams" (from Lut! blog). "It was inspired by the phenomenon where you wake up from a dream to find yourself in yet another dream." says the author about the animation. I think this picture is a hint, and the girl is living her old memories (or her fears) in nightmares. The scenes, the ghosts and the girl's clothes always changes, and she woke up twice: after opening the door (or after skipintro) and in the beggining of Darkness 3.

Well, these Darkness games are great. Very scary indeed. I have to turn of the sound to play them. I know, kinda weak, but hey. haha. Woah dudes! Here's what I am wondering. Why would someone ring the girls doorbell and make her faint. I mean, why was she home alone in the first place? In the first Darkness game, it's kind of scary how in the end the ghost appears next to her. Why was the girl in the hospital afterwards? How'd she even get there. Kind of funny. In the second Darkness Episode 3, and my god did this one scare the crap out of my me. Haha. Why is this ghost folling her? And whose hand was it? If you guys recall from Episode II, I have reason to believe that the ghost is someone who was murdered during surgery. If you guys noticed the bed filled with blood and stuff. Dang. I doubt that it was a nurse because the same ghost has been following her since episode I. Was that a flshback she was having back there in the train after she played the music box? What do you guys think? It's kind of exciting and scary. Can't wait till the forth. Let's just say that I couldn't sleep after playing the first and second because I kept seeing faces when I tried to go to sleep! Weak! Anyways, yeah. Can't wait until episode four. It needs a story. i dont think the hospital or the house or the train was where the girl died at all someone in her family at the house, her brother maybe, madam grace died in the hospital after surgury if you look into the ghosts hand she carrying a scalpal and she maybe trying to kill the girl because she think because she is the only one in the hospital she is responsible for her death, in the train i think it was a girl by the shape of her body when you go into the second carage shes haging from the door, if it was the girl why would her own ghost be trying to kill her i the first place my ghost wouldnt kill me so i dunno maybe its a stalker but i can find anything to give that eveidence maybe a person from her family died in a crash and they think it was her and is trying to kill her.

okay, me and my friends rock at all the Darkness games, we don't veen need walkthroughs...but we still wonder about the plot of the whole Darkness Story. So here is my plot/ prediction:
Darkness 1:
Okay either she or someone in her family killed that woman and obviously got away with it. The ghost seeks revenge on any one in the family.
Darkness 2:
The hospital represents where she died. Maybe one of her parents worked there and something happened during surgery OR the ghost worked there before she died and someone in the family had something to do with foul play.
Darkness 3:
The train can be her mode of transportation before dying OR the killer stalked her on her final train ride.
Darkness 4: (Prediction)
From what me and my friends discussed, we thought either a school or the place she was found injured (Hospital was where she died). The school is because since the girl being haunted by the ghost is probably in school, the ghost was her age and someone stalked her. The place where she was found came to 2 conclusions. The stalker treid to kill her there and the person who found her was someone in the family of the girl being haunted and the ghost thought that they tried to kill her OR someone in her family tried to kill her there.
I know I keep rambling on about a flash game, but it could be real interesting to find out the whole plot of the story.

Wait, there must be a reason why the ghost brought her into the hospital in darkness Episode 2, and why is the ghost always dressed differently. I don't think that's a good idea changing her clothings and identity and always stick to darkness episode 3 identity. This time put some clothings for the ghost. I really want Darkness Episode 4 to be more scary. In the previous episode in Darkness, I was a little disappointed in the level of spookiness. But the concept was a bit common, coping the Ring Two concept a bit. So in the overrall of the darkness episode 3 game, I wouldn't say it's perfect. Hope to see Darkness Episode 4 more scarier, more scarier sound effect and more scary ghost. The concept was qite good, so there's no need to change.
I would say Darkness Episode 3 was fun and at the same time, I wouldn't say it was perfect. I tink th creator of the game should make the ghost scarier, make the place more creepy and still put more spooky sound effects. Still, the creator of the game did a good job for creating Darkness Episode 3 but there's still room for improvement. I think the girl is the ghost's child but I don't know yet. I think in Darkness Episode 4, the creator should explain more clearly why is the ghost haunting the girl. What is the link between them? Is the the baby of the ghost?

I think the darkness episode 4 must be challenging as well as entertaining. The problem with the games are that the ghost is not scary enough although the concept is spooky. So in that way, I can't say the game is perfect. Maybe, for the nex episode, darkness episode 4, you can make the ghost realistic and much scarier, the place that the scenario is happening should be more scarier. And of course, you can publih on some search websites how to play the game if people really doesn't know. Good luck for your darkness game thing and wish the game a huge success.
Wow, the Darkness Episode 3 game was fun and entertaining. Still, the reason of how the ghost is a ghost was too fast in the game that I could not really catch up. Certainly, I would say that the creator of the game is very creative and dd a good job by creating darkness episode 3. Yor tusk is to now create Darkness Episode 4. And maybe, when people type in a search wbsite of how did the woman become a ghost, you can create a story and publish it in the website. Can't wait to play Darkness Episode 4!!!!

i'm a total fan of Darkness, i've played all 3 games, and i always remember how to complete each game, and i get both endings in darkness 3
in the next game, it will be very nice if the players can finally get to know the hole story about the ghost, the girl we control, why is the ghost chasing this girl, and please we need to know the name of this girl and if she is related to mdm grace.
hope Darkness 4 comes out soon, and i hope theres a darkness 5, and maybe others, or maybe another saga of games with mdm grace has principal character to know why this is happening and to know what happened with her.
I think 4th one must be longer and better than 3rd one lut!(but I don't mean 3rd one isn't good, it's perfect.)

oh yeah and also during the entire thing or like half or a third past the thing the bloody dead, moldy, and part skulled up lady is chasing her making doors fly open screaming quite some times
i don't know if you already started making the fourth episode but heres an idea, the lady(ghost) died in an accident in the TRAIN and she is then killed in the hospital because the sleeping mask fell off, she woke up and screamed in pain, the doctor had a reaction and accidentally killed the lady, the lady was abandoned by her husband and was an only child with dead parents during childhood. she then trys to haunt the husband that abandoned her but he died, but wait, he has one child, the main character, the girl, and the ghost then goes to her house and erases her memory for some reason, the girls then pops up in different places that relate to the lady, the same hospital where the lady died in, the train where the accident happened so now she has to go back to her house to get information on the ghost or finds something before that to make her think that she has some relativity to the ghost lady like a newspaper or something and then goes to her house and finds her diary open with some black and bloody fingerprints on it(ghost lady read it) and she has to get that candle to read the whole thing while the ghost is in the house, she has to lock the door so the ghost wont come in while shes reading, if not, that bloody-eyed face will pop up and then when she puts down the diary, theres some text saying about how she realizes about the ghost, her father, her past, and everything, so she trys to find away to get rid of the ghost pemanently or confront it and try to apologize and allow it to rest in piece, i know i have an active imagination but please read my story and send a message back if thats ok, i think this is a great plot and i hope this might be a good idea for the next episode of darkness or at least some of it so please text me back and bye

When you get the key in the music box keep turning until you see the flash of pictures. After the pictures stop the door opens. Don't click on the first door you see. run to the right then you will see an already opened door click on that...and wa la! youve got the second ending. After that all you have to do is watch!
the page appears when u open the music box-play the music and then u'll see it when it appears u can use print screen and copy all texts and paste to PAINT then read it

yeh tumbler 3 is in the vent. you put gum on the back of the mirror piece and place it in the vent so u will put your hands in there. keep your eyes peeled for the spook

i have a theorie about the ghost and the girl.what if the ghost needed somedone solid someone alive to get the stone egg in the hospital.think about it in number a in lured her downstairs and she was probably knocked out and captured by the ghost itself!in number 2 your in a hospital(copied from clock tower)trying to find your way out you make it out but once again she is captured!and in number 3 you wake with everthing gone in a abandoned train alone with just the egg and the creepy ghost of course.

This is wat u need 2 do......u find a metal peice with markings next 2 da pole and u find a match in da red bag...and a paper under da other seat...u find a candle sumwhere and u lite da candle on da lemon part of da paper 2 get da password for da box in da bag...u'll find a mirror behind an ad and u use dat in da vent 2 get da other metal marking thingy and u find gum under da chair wit da paper. U put da gum and da mirror together and put it inside da box and get ready 2 put space! after u get 2 da other corridor and da lites turn off...look 4 da beng comb on da floor and open da bag wit it (da only bag wit sumtin in it) and u'll find mentos...u mix dat wit da coke and u spray da darkness....u'll find a key all da way at da right and u hafta run all da way back 2 da box FAST and turn da key..it's gonna be a song playin so u need 2 keep turning da key wen it stops and den u race for da door wen ur dun wit da song OR ELSE....creepy game huh?

I was so excited when this first came out I literally jumped out of my chair. I almsot screamed but it was about three in the morning so instead I made silent squeaky squeals to myself instead. xD

whoever is whathppns, when you get out of the door of the train she still comes after you. she appears right next to the door out of nowhere right after you get out of the train. then he lights turn off and here comes the race. i came out of the door 2 times. and she does the same thing come after ya. its another way saying to be continued........ it was funny how it came out of under the seat like a hobo. ha ha he.

I am so exited to see what they'll do in part four, I finaly managed to get ending to on episode three two days ago, where you escape the train, but the ghost still follows you! it's awesome, and I'm really interested to see what location comes up next:D But still, I'd say since Darkness three appears to have come out this year? am I right? it'll probably be a while, if not next year, before we see Darkness four, since it must take allot of time and effort, and then they probably have other jobs to get money too. Anyway, has anyone figured out what flashes up on the screen? I'll say it again, try pressing PrtScr and pasting it on a paint document.
And does anyone know the diary password from the first darkness? Not that I want to pry into her personal life or anything...
No matter what setting I put it on, when I get to the part of putting the key in the box, there is so much lag, or something, that I can't even get to the door to get out, it closes long before I can even move.

haha! i finished it! i made her out of the train!!!!! i already finished darkness 1 & 2,and found out that out that the first two were easier than the three,but still i finished it!! but before i finished this one i've an hour. i dont know what to do the next room,at first i picked up all the plastic bags and all the crashed papers,then game over.the second ipicked only the things that i thougt looks useful , the cola bottle , the comb, but still gameover,then i tried to untie the plastic bg using the comb and it was untied!i tried to combine some items and as i combined the mentos and the bottle,the cola reac!whew!when will you relaese the episode 4!?????????????????????????arigato!!!

i have an idea on the scene in darkness 4 but it looks like boring but it was being creepy on the cemetery only you see are the whole lot of cemetery you can see people but they can't see you and the all gates of the cemetery is locked and if the ghost is approaching the clouds will turn to black and made the ghost scarier than the 3 episodes and make the sound effects more scary too

ok i got the everything i need and use the cola on the naked ghost train. but after that i run to the right because the door is jammed. then i saw the ghost hanging with her hair naked. but when i take the key on the seat i was attack by the ghost!!! i tried to run left but no use. then i hit the panic button as fast sa i could but no use too. can someone help me? please...

Jade, there is a closed plastic bag in the 2nd carriage.the comb is on the floor over by one of the poles in the second carriage. use the comb with the plastic bag. and the mentos with the cola. the newspaper has nothing to do with the game, it was just in the plastic bag with the mentos.
Ahh...!!! it was soo scary! i don't know where to pick the plastic bag that contains the mentors! and i don't know WHERE THE HELL COMB IS!!! argh! HELP!!!
A haunted house is pretty classic, but I'd have thought the last Darkness might be in a more familiar location, like maybe we'd finally get to the bottom floor of our heroine's house. Or it could be a hybrid location of all the Darkness-fied locations throughout the series.
Hard to say without more information on the plot... unless we've already had it, but just haven't recognised it. Looking forward to Darkness 4!

well ocy, the magazine isnt important it was just inside the plastic bag with the mentos. probably a decoy to throw you off.
and bellaware,
you have to grab the cola and the plastic bag and there should be a comb somewhere on the floor in the 2nd train. use the comb with the plastic bag, then wait for the darkness to come near, use the mentos with the cola and use your mouse to aim the cola wherever the darkness is
AS FOR EVERYONE ELSE. this is for LUT! too. i have an idea for a darkness 5 if it isnt in darkness 4. i think it should be on a plane. you start out with the items of a parachute goggles and a hand cloth.
you could have the goggles be all fogged up and then use the cloth with the goggles and then you see the lady and almost fall off of the plane. you get all the items needed and jump out with the parachute, then the lady surrounds you. you blink once and nothing is there, you finall land and you are near a deserted airport. there are things you see that arent even there. i have an idea for the ending but i wont give it away, if lut would like more details, contact me via email

after u panic at the ghost head u run to the next cabin and u need to find :
a locked plastic bag,a beaded comb and a bottle of cola/soda
use use the beaded comb on the plastic bag and use the mentos u get with the cola jus keep swinging the cola around
then u get a panic
after u wake up u run to the far right and see a swinging body!! (EEKKK!) take the small metal thiny on the chair and run for ur life to the box (u will get a series of panics during the runing)( the one u found in the bad)
put the thiny in the hole and keep turning it frm there on u shld noe how to finish it

Someone made a point earlier, that said that the "It feels like I've been sleeping for two years," thing was a gag about how long it took for Darkness 3 to come out. I think that's probably right.
So, so far we have had the ghost at her house, at the hospital, and in a train. Has anyone thought that maybe it isn't the same ghost? I mean, it looks different in every episode. The first one was just a face with a black sheet/cloud around it. The second one was the classic ghost, and I think she was holding a knife, or something. The third one was more of an angry spirit of demon like thing, because it had supernatural powers.
Just a thought, but does the fact that the music box plays "Pop goes the weasel" have anything to do with it? Oh, and if anyone really wants to know what the red words say when those random scenes flash up, hit the PrtSc button, which stands for print screen, and then paste it into a paint document. Just make sure you get it at the right moment.

I didn't play one the 1st one but i will. what i think about is that she some how knew the person , but porprobly don't know that whoever died is dead.the person is trying to show her that he/she is dead and want the person 2 get time 4 the crime. but there is a twist, when the person died, she was so pissed off that she/he became a evil spirt and, we'll as you see. anyway, or the peson who is haunting is mad at her because she knows the person killed he or she and she was apart of it and because she been blocking out so much that she don't remember what happen!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i love these fing games! keep making them!!?! I think "I feel like I've been sleeping for 2 years" is an in-joke about how long it took for Darkness 3 to come out (about two years after Darkness 2).

Hi, it's me again. Okay, I've got a theory about why the girl is in the train, but it's pretty pathetic. I'm almost certain there is a connection, I mean a big connection, to all three locations in the series. The house may have been where the ghost lived, or perhaps maybe the ghost is just stalking the descendant of her murder/murders.
The hospital is where she died (Obviously). I think that male patient, I forget his name, the one who hid the key, has some bigger connection in this game too, but I'm not certain.
The train... Now that opens a lot of different doors. It may be a boring reason, like the transportation of the ghost to the hospital where she died, or it could have some other major significance that I have not thought of yet. She says, and I quote "I feel like I've been sleeping for 2 years." I feel this may have major significance, as well as the music box. Maybe the time on the clock holds significance too. If anyone was able to catch this, please let me know. I'm slowly getting closer to unraveling this mystery, but I'm still a far way off.

These games are awesome.. I have beat them countless times.
I have to admit it isn't entirely scary. Kinda creepy, especially when you first see it, but you get used to it. I say main scary factor is suspense. Like in Darkness 2 when I'm just slamming the panic butten as the face comes up and I'm like DAMN PRESS FASTER! And in Darkness 3 with the Music Box, you see the ghost in the background flashing..
Do you have any release date for Darkness 4?
I know it's been asked a million times, but would you care to endulge us on the girl's/the ghost's past? Why is the girl at home, opens door, creepy ghost throughout house, finds herself in a hospital, and when she exits, finds herself in a train?
At least let us know if this will be answered in Darkness 4?

Yeah, I managed to get off the train (just run to the right as fast as you can until you reach the open doors) but didn't get much of an ending, you just see the girl standing outside the train and then the screen fades to black with the credits. Didn't see the naked ghost either, maybe I was too busy running in the oppisite direction, lol.
I've played all 3 now, Darkness 1 was the creepiest and the one I liked best, like when the hand thumps against the shower door and slides down..

I've reached the 2nd comartiment and I've sent a letter to you: look just a little more down. OK there's the answer.
Ok, have another theroy.
So ghost has been stalking this girl who doesn't have a name, and it all started at her house. So I think that the ghost use to live in the house, or maybe it is the address of her murders. Perhaps the murders are the parents of the girl who we control in the game.
And she was obviously killed in the hospital, so that's the connection. Maybe the ghost isn't targeting the girl deliberately, but it is most likely that there is a reason behind the attacks. Unless, of course, the creators of the game are just creating random scenes to scare us, the viewers.
I haven't been able to figure out the connection with the train. Perhaps it is where an accident took place? Maybe an accident that put her into hospital. Perhaps not. Perhaps it is not related at all.
Oh, and if anyone is reading this, I cannot get out of the first compartment. I know, it's sad, but I can't. Would like some help. I beg of you, if you can do anything, please take pity and help me!
This is soo weird...at the end of this game, the girl must rush out of the exit door before it closes right? And i everytime thought that it was purposely made that the girl will not be able to run out of the door. But...i did manage to do it!!! I ran out of the door!!! Everyone try this, there's 2 endings to this game!!!

ohk, some ppl think this, but after u mix the coca cola with the pop, you have to spray it in the shadows eyes to get away, after that you have to go and get the key for the music box (its on the right) and then get off the train

It's strange that in the second darkness the ghost is taller than the girl, but when they are sitting side by side, they look about the same height. From what I can tell, the ghost hasn't changed, but I've only seen her reflection. I have no idea how to get into the second compartment.
Just a question, but does the ghost start chasing the girl again, like it did in the second one, or does it just pop up in random places, like in the first one.
And another question, I remember leaving the second game (The hospital) with more than just the rock. What happened to that stuff?
Oh, and a while back, when I started playing the second game, I hadn't quite finished the first game, because I didn't know I was suppose to use the gloves to get the key from out of the toliet. The gloves appeared in the second game, along with the other things I had picked up. When I used the gloves in the first game, they dissapeared from the second game. Is this suppose to happen or is it a glitch?
I've had a quick look at this new darkness game... a really quick look! I was just clicking around, and suddenly the window went dark, and I acidentally closed the window.
Anyway, I have a few therories about the whole story line. First of all, the ghosts do seem to change, because the first one was more of a poltergist. The ghost in the second darkness was actually a ghost, as it is plain to see. It appears that this ghost is Madame Grace, or whatever the patients name was. I remember the metion of another patient on one of the check lists at the end of the beds in the second game. I think that he may be connected to the murder of Madame Grace, and may be related to the girl that we control.
The points of view of the series is interesting, because in the first game, we play as if we were the girl, but in the second game, we control her like a pawn. From what I've seen of the thrid game, it appears to go back into first person mode.
I've noticed that a lot of people found the game ending very confusing, and there is a lot of discussion of a alternate, or secret, ending. If there are two different endings, it makes me wonder how the fourth game will begin.
Also, it would be interesting to know if there is any relevent information in the password protected diary from the first game, or if there is any way to access it.
I would also like to know if there is a known storyline behind this, or if you are just makng it up as you go along. If this is the case, you might find that the game will become so unrealistic and far from the original idea that the games would seem completely unrelated.
I am currently restricted to the first section of the train, and don't know where to go from there. It is very hard to play this game when you have a touchpad mouse on your laptop rather than a real mouse!
I would be glad of any help, but it is not needed, as I will keep trying until I finish it, or until my siser finishes it before me.

That thing with the mentos and the cola was so clever, I was stuck in that part and then I remembered my early years and the experiments my friends and I used to do with food. And it worked!!

I don't think there are alternative endings to Darkness 1 and 2. I think we'd have found them by now if there were. I don't see where they'd be, either. Like for example the elevator buttons at the end of Darkness 2? Only one of them works, so no secret ending there.

As for why the Darkness creature is doing what it does, I don't know, but it does bear something of a resemblance to the girl protagonist, at least in the hair, but that might just be for style. Which makes me wonder: Does our heroine have a name?

i think that the ghost may be Mdm Grace, in the hospital, you find her bed, it says that she has gone for her surgery, in the operation theatre you find blood all around, if it is, the only question i've got is why is she trying to catch the girl, may be she has a connection with the ghost, maybe the girl was who made she died, maybe an accident, or something, or maybe the parents of the girl made something to her, and she is looking for revenge against them, or this could be just a nightmare...
well, maybe all this questions will have an answer in darkness 4(or 5, if the story doesnt end)...

Hey Lut and everybody out there. Hope u can help me out. After using the cola-geyser, run all the way to the right to get the keys but that's not wad i wanted to ask. Going all the way to the right u will see the naked female ghost but...i managed to walk pass her into another carraige which is really really dark and never seem to end!!! If it's nth concerning to the game, then why is it put there?! ANSWER ME ASAP!!!!

u can only get the second ending if u do it unless ucan get it while darkness is chasing u cause i got the trash in the first car too. so idk but it was fun :D

Oh, the trash secret ending was a joke. I didn't know how to get the second ending at first, so I tried random stuff like picking up all the trash. It just respawns every time you change carriages, though. I'm pretty sure it's useless. Although there's certainly a lot of it.
getting the trash is hard /crai

For the second car, the room with the blackout and the dark mist, you need to look around the car to find three items:
a bent comb, a tied-up trash bag, and a bottle of soda. (mmmmm...soda)
After you find those, it's time for a little science experiment.
Use the comb on the bag to get a bunch of paper and Mentos.
Ignore the paper, and use the Mentos on the soda.
Aim it at the fog that comes at you, and keep one hand on the spacebar!

Thank you Lut for putting up the long awaited Darkness 3! But this episode raises more questions than it answers...
The story's interesting but it's getting quite random? And I know I read someone here saying you were experimenting with different styles but do you think we could get a little backstory in the next game? Pretty please? =)
I've noticed this game does lag a bit when the main character is running around in the second carriage and it's annoying to have to wait for her to stop before you can pick up any item. That would be my only complaint.
I've always been a big fan of this series and that panic button is really oddly comforting (LOL). The tentacle/hair concept is cool, as is that cut scene where the lights go out and you can see a bit of the monster coming out from under the seat. The game still scares well with the sudden jumps, but I think I'm getting immune to the pale/dead body look. If I could offer a suggestion, I think the simplistic drawn style of monster in Darkness 1 was more effective. The coke+mentos trick was also cool (but I'm not sure why coke repels monsters lol?). I didn't get to any secret/alternative ending but I think that's a nice thing to add to a game, if you did do that.
Sorry for the long post! Darkness 3 is great fun and in a way almost a relief to be playing it after waiting for so long. Now I can look forward to another episode, in the probably distant future... Thanks again for making these and entertaining us all.
