so i installed MCE in the laptop replacing the Home edition. MCE activated successfully on the laptop and it worked fine.

I got my PC repaired and it started with out having to reinstall Winxp MCE. but the windows update which are downloaded in the PC don't Get Installed on it.
I have replaced MCE from the laptop with HOME edition, but the problem persists.

that WMP11 prob iis solved. actually it was pretty much stupid of me to have that problem. but i have another one.

I have a licensed copy of WinXP Media Center Edition (MCE) that i run on my home pc.

I also have a laptop with WinXp Home.


One fine day my PC refused to start. I'm in a habit of using the MCE remote for movies and music.
