You know, perhaps you need to pick up the latest issue of Bon Appétit -- it has articles both on pinot and on where to eat in Cape Town (and a very pretty roasted pear on the cover).

It is quite important to pronounce Willamette correctly, though, with a slightly aspirated emphasis on the middle LAM. And make sure to say something condescending about the pinot gris, preferably including the phrase ``residual sugar.'' Gets 'em every time.

While it is true that several wineries are doing some sort of funky oak-slash-residual sugar thing to their Pinot Gris, there are several who are entirely Stainless.
All that aside, I am sure I left some wineries from your previous Will-AMM-it Valley list.
Such as:
St. Innocent
Winess Tree
Broadley (dear god, Broadley is like the Vibrator version of Pinot, it ALWAYS pleases)
Elk Cove
Cristom
Torii Mor
Domaine Serene
J.K. Carriere
Seriously, I could go on, although I am fairly close to listing all my favorites, but there is only so much time each day to bore thousands of internet peoples.
Maccers, if you are ever in Seattle, I could show you a few Pinots, or you could just head down to Mecca. Either way, there is a lot in store.
(Oh and I hear you are headed for S. Africa, so don't even get me started, there is some really great stuff down there. However there will never be another grape with as much class and sophistication as Pinot Noir.)

Damn sommeliers and their damned boutique wines.
What the hell ever happened to the standard table vino?
