yeah I should. I once met Pollock's UK agent on a train to DC. He regaled me with stories of the 60's art world in London and asked me out for dinner. Like the dumb idiot I am I declined and said I had a boyfriend, a gay one actually at the time. He kissed my hand as he left the train at Philedelphia and whispered into my ear, "My Dear, it will never last."

I am rather jetlagged, even though I got upgraded between Auckland and LA. Quantas is shit though, even business class.

I thought Quantas was good, but then these days I am so used to cattle class anything remotely comfortable is now just a distant memory. It's the tragicomedy of my life.
Was there any turbulence?
Nope. No turbulence to speak of.
Quantas food was AWFUL (even business class), and they didn't have the flat beds like BA do. Boo hoo. But I got to sit upstairs on the plane which is always quieter and less stressful. I got a wee bit drunk on champagne and passed out quite happily. Story of my life, really.
Upstairs? Did te plane have a spiral staircase with a piano bar up top? I saw a TWA brochure advertising their plane with those features when I was a kid. For whatever reason, it is one of my most persistent childhood memories. I have spent my life looking for a plane like that. To no avail. I need more money.
It wasn't spiral honey, but I remember the ones you meant. We went on one of those TWA planes when I was a kid and the staircase was spiral. It led to a groovy bar, I think.
And yes. You do need more money. Upstairs on the plane rocks. It's quieter and all the Americans stop braying, for once.
