His stuff is gorgeous as art pieces, but as architecture it's obnoxious. That bridge he did though is incredible.

No, it just seems like he's trying to hard, it's not subtle at all, he doesn't take the surrounding area into consideration. Same goes with Gehry. Taken alone, their buildings are beautiful, taken in context, they're obnoxious. I should say that I don't thing one about architecture, so I wouldn't listen to me.
