i never feel guilty about my (always meager) donation to the met. i figure the temple of dendur party rental income will keep them in disputed provenance art for years to come.

love the cloisters though. they have a great little library in a tower there where, after studying enough medieval texts, one can feel like heloise for an afternoon.

When I lived in NY, I was urged by all my friends never to pay more than a $1 and was amazed at how easy it was to do.
