Laurie Anderson has always sucked, even her Superman crap. She was a teenage beauty queen, you know. Will to power, I say.
i don't think that she sucks, i think that she still does good things but in concert people want to hear their old favorites and she obliges and those of us who have already seen those are like, "oh, that again." but that doesn't make her SUCK. that makes her a little more interested in pleasing people than you'd like to think.

p.s. I am sorry, I realize that you said "awful" and "stale", not "suck". & not that you necessarily care, but *I* don't hate you. I think you're holding her more to the standard that you would hold a visual artist (wanting something new and innovative with each series) than that to which you would hold a musician (where new lyrics and a few new tricks are often enough), and that seems a little unfair, but revealing yourself as a person of high standards is nothing to be hated at.

I saw her three years ago and she sucked then, I can only imagine that she sucks even more now. Her act is played, she says ordinary, boring stuff but clearly the special effects and mysterioso voice demand that you find everything she says EXTRA-ORDINARY.
