Reality check: Pair of pants lost by dry-cleaners worth a lifetime of income?
No.
That was easy.

You would think so, wouldn't you?
I figure it's one of two things. Either the judge/plaintiff got an extremely overinflated opinion of his importance or he was trying to extort the defendent into a larger payoff to avoid going to court against a judge.
I'm leaning toward the former. He seems to have a real entitlement mentality that could honestly lead him to believe that his pants were that important and if it WERE extortion, he misplayed it badly.

Gosh, that's hard to believe. I had figured it must be the latter. If it's indeed the former, we're worse off than I thought.

A few things:
First... it IS the former. I recently talked to a judge whom I met regarding this matter. He told me that this snake even turned down a settlement offer of $10,000! Interestingly, the judge I was talking to was fuming over this matter. I asked him how the judge in the case ought to rule. His reply: "Hang him!"
Second... this snake's mentality is the stereotypical lowlife who gets some authority and now thinks he's the man. But what make's him worse is that he goes much further than "strutting his stuff", he tries to use it to leech off of others.
Finally... this snake is not a real judge. He's an administrative law judge. Translation: a glorified employee of an administrative agency whom is empowered to make rulings on procedural matters and on rules violations. Outside of the scope of his administrative agency, he is a nobody.
There are very few people I think deserve to be spit upon. This jerk deserves it. Pitouey!

Thanks for pointing out that he's not a real judge. That one escaped me! I confess, I had this little nasty voice in my head suggesting that this guy was one liberal president and an affirmative action push away from being on the Supreme Court. You cleared that away nicely!

That thing is pretty new. I don't remember it there during my last post.
